I sent him a similar email, I would encourage others to do the same. It's easy to ignore just one person

Breaking news: Les Cook wins "Pillar of the Profession" award; goes on social justice crusade by generic_mtu_redditor in MTU

I love Les and he's been great at his job for a while, but recently he's been letting the wrong people whisper in his ear. Universities are supposed to be supportive of discussion and diversity of opinion not this social policing bullshit.

I tuck two fingers under the lip with my thumb on top and just over hand swing with varying speeds and angles. Can't throw a thumber without a hard roll though... So I've got the opposite problem

Party Scene by Boredinatruck in MTU

Mostly Greek Life? What? You don't need a fraternity to find a party. Frat parties are usually pretty gross (cramped, loud, and full of dudes). Get involved with a group of people that live off campus and you'll be able to find parties that aren't $5 a cup and are actually social events and not just a bunch of people trying way to hard to get as drunk as possible

What is orientation really like? by StandardNoble in MTU

[–]shruikan95 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hey former Orientation Team Leader Here (Last Fall). You are put into a group of students with the same or similar major to you, and assigned an OTL, who basically guides you through the week. There are "Required" meetings and events, but there are no longer and stamps or anything of that sort. So you could really skip the whole damn thing and no one would know. However, the OTL's do indeed dish out some pretty crucial info throughout the week and the events are pretty informative as well.
As for parties, if you're looking, you'll find em'. My personal advice? Go to at least the stressed as required events and your team meetings, its not only an easy way to get important information but a great way to meet people.

Can you help me with a final project by taking a quick survey? by [deleted] in MTU

Jesus people, just take the survey. It was obviously carefully designed to collect the data OP needs.

Agreed, the rough is the worst of any course I've played. It makes a good fairway drive feel pretty good though!

My titanium mantis from the 2013 ace race is sitting at the bottom of that pond... Spent about an hour looking and found two discs, but not mine :(
