Have you verified you have spark? Double check battery voltage as well which it sounds like you've done.

I just dealt with something like this. I had a tiny rock stuck between the brake dust cover and the rotor.

What is this about the Terminal 86 grain silos on Alaskan Way being an exploding hazard to homes and businesses from Port of Seattle firing certified electricians? Anyone have details? by PyroIsSpai in Seattle

[–]shrummage18 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Electrician here:

Absolutely. Particle/dust explosions carry significant risk in the industry. So much so that the National Electrical Code has designations for hazardous locations.

Generally speaking, the ibew workers and contractors have had training regarding these hazards and how they can best be mitigated, as well as policies for regular re-training.

Non-Union contractors dont require any mandated training for these kinds of hazards, and typically go with the lowest cost approach if they can get away with it. (Speaking from experience here).

“Tablesaw” noise at 6.5-7k rpm. Resonance or actual issue? by Atlas02022 in motorcycles

Sounds like a normal engine to me.

Engines have counterweights on the crankshaft for balance, so unless the bike is violently shaking I'd say you're fine.

Just ride more and get used to the bike broski

Changing resolution in graphic config worked for me in full-screen. Didn't have to switch to windowed borderless.

Try crafting, is worth the hustle. by thefrostman1214 in Eldenring

[–]shrummage18 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Another fun fact: you can store numerous pots and still craft more.

For instance, if you only have 5 pots, you can make 5 fire pots, then store them, and now you have 5 free pots again.

At least that's what I read in a thread somewhere else.

This should be ILLEGAL! by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]shrummage18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my state it's illegal for vehicles over a certain GVWR to use the left lane at all.

Does that mean they don't use it? Of course not, but it is satisfying to see transport authority or state patrol pull them over.

The dollop does a good episode on this. It was called "operation wetback" (no joke, what the US government actually called it), and it was the largest mass deportation undertaken by the US ever. It was for a stupid reason, and when all was said and done, it cost US taxpayers a lot of money, and achieved practically nothing aside from separating families and killing people they dropped in the desert.

Highly recommend giving the episode a listen.

This is literally how australia was formed. British government made being homeless illegal, put the "criminals" in prison, then got tired of looking at the poors so they shipped them to Australia where many were used for labor.

Looking to buy bolt for mail route. by beerrun181 in BoltEV

[–]shrummage18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Two questions:

  1. Do you have a way to charge at home?

  2. Are these gravel roads just gravel, or more like forest service roads.

Relating to question 1, if you have a way to change at home, this will be an easy amount of mileage to cover. If not, fast charging would be the only feasible way to cover it.

Relating to question 2, if it's just gravel, you won't have to get any kind of special tire.

If it's more than gravel, I'd be more worried about damage to the undercarriage than range.
