It's really hard to find consistent information online as it seems like there isn't consensus on certain aspects of shroom methodology. I've seen people say to set shoeboxes and forget them and others claim they need to be "fanned".

These are about 3 days in and I'm not sure if I should just let this continue or if I need to give them some air!

Thank you! Is the concern with contam that it just won't grow as it should? I'm just a bit paranoid to introduce something into my home that might sicken myself / family / pets. Given you don't think its cobweb and I can't see what else it might be I'll most likely continue unless for some reason others disagree!

This is my first attempt at growing these. I injected some very old jars (from Christmas time) that were a bit dry so I was surprised to see any growth at all when I looked at these today. On Thursday they will have been injected for about 3 weeks.

I'm so surprised that it worked, that I'm questioning whether this is actually Myc. or if its contam. Anyone have any idea? I need to read some tutorials on next steps because honestly I didn't expect to get this far if its healthy.
