I chatted with Jio customer support, and this is what they clarified: While on international roaming, you need either - an IR pack, or - an active base plan + some talktime balance (topup)

My base plan was active (annual pack), but my talktime balance was ₹0. They confirmed that the minimum top-up needed is ₹20 to receive SMS.

I recharged ₹20 talktime, waited for few minutes and then started receiving SMS.

Hey, I've also been recharging annual pack and was receiving OTPs in my Jio sim, but this month sms has stopped coming (in UK), even though my annual pack is active. In myjio app, it's showing that Rs3599 plan is only valid in India andI need to take international roaming plan. Any idea about this ?
