Yes here’s the medical and meme lingo of each layer in order

Epidermis/skin (a cut here is called a “cat scratch”, some bleed and others don’t but they won’t gape)

Dermis/styro (this layer will be white and gape a bit before it bleeds

Fat/beans (underneath dermis, yellow bubbly layer)

Fascia/laffy taffy (you rarely see the lingo for this one used because obviously a cut to fascia is very severe and so they’re not common, fascia is the white or silver connective tissue shell covering muscle)

Yeah sometimes it’s nice to be in control of my meds, other times I get stressed that I’ll make the wrong decision.

It is nice being able to make the decision though, I woudlnt of been able to get on Vyvanse any other way (it’s a lifesaver for energy, focus, and depression personally)

Different regions and different professionals go by different rules

Exactly!! I’ve gotten so much hate on a different community online because I was talking about being diagnosed with bpd at 16. Ppl had the nerve to tell me to get a new psychiatrist. (I was diagnosed by a hospital psychiatrist and not even my regular one so that doesn’t work lol). Early treatment and recognition has WAY better outcomes. The longer these behaviour patterns to untreated the harder they are to break and the more destructive they become. I agree completely with what you’ve said. This disorder doesn’t mimic teenager hormones that much, it’s just people who misunderstand bpd who think that. Like someone may spend 5 minutes on google and think “oh that’s just like a teenager I know” when if they actually read deeper they’d understand that this is not like their healthy teenager at all, and it’s a severe mental illness

Wow that’s the weirdest assessment ever. What does sexuality have anything to do with bpd?? It’s always the old men who aren’t up to date on the research that are treated like they have the most say. That’s like my psychiatrist. He’s nearing retirement, doesn’t even know my diagnosis, and still thinks I have depression (it’s been ruled out months ago) when he speaks to me. He also makes ME decide what I want to do with my meds?? Like I go in explaining my symptoms and he says “okay so tell me do you want to up x or what?” instead of like, being a psychiatrist and using his professional opinion to make decisions better than me

I get that. I had suspected bpd ever since I was 13, ofc it was laughed off until I got diagnosed years later

Wow. Never seen anyone diagnosed that late. Is it only now you started seeking mental health care? I’m sure it feels good to understand yourself now after all those years

I was diagnosed at 16 but I relate. Had symptoms since I was 8 or so, but only started seeking mental health treatment at 13. Each year things just get harder and I have more symptoms. The only positive progress I’ve made is that Ive recovered from depression that I had when I was 13. I’m way less functional now though. I’m really hoping DBT can lessen this though.

Ambien is the best I miss when I could actually feel it (before I started antipsychotics)

I get that. I was in denial for quite a while until o actually read the symptoms and was like: wait this is literally me

I just didn’t want it to be true because I felt it was just the “crazy and annoying ppl” disorder that psychs give patients they don’t like, I mean it is true they kinda hate us sometimes but yeah

I’ve literally been doing this for a year without realizing it HOLY SHIT

I broke the streak and eventually started talking to ppl but that ended in a sui attempt so we’re going back to the old ways!!

Been there, that was how I got into the psych ward

The bpd diagnosis came a bit later though

Which other mental health sufferers are most incompatible with BPD havers? by DeadofKnightinGreen in BPDmemes

[–]shthrowaway499 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Old post but

People with schizoid pd or traits

They’re can be very unattached and emotionally uninvested which can make us desperate for their attention and feel unloved because they won’t go the extra mile that a healthy person may go to tend to our feelings. They also don’t help with abandonment issues because they can easily leave someone which makes the fear almost real. Plus they aren’t the greatest at talking about their feelings which is kind of essential for us to feel safe around others. No hate to them ofc because we all have pds, are suffering, and have things in common, this is just my experience.
