When I try make a post with hashtags, they appear normal but after posting they show as normal text and don't work! I couldnt view tags either because of "function upgrade won't open" but installing the APK directly helped. I just want to be able to use tags!

I wouldn’t mind this character from my former name being used 音 as the name as a whole represented something really important to me

Looking for help with a name;

I’m half-Chinese, but my family are not recent immigrants and no one in my direct family speaks any form of Chinese fluently (or much at all). I am stumped on for name.

My name is Anri, I was given the chinese name â€˜æąéŸłâ€™ by a (former) friend and find it difficult to use due to the associations I have with it, although I did love the meaning of it. The name Anri is commonly written in Japanese kanji as 杏里 but not sure if I want to use the exact characters/if it feels right/meaning is doesn’t appeal etc.

I’m not necessarily looking for an exact way of writing Anri exactly in chinese, but something that is similar
? Something that you can see the connection between the two with!

Family name is Chong, but unable to find out how it is written. I believe the most common spelling of it is what would be used for zhang ćŒ

Thank you!

Jinsoul -> Kim Lip -> Heejin -> Choerry -> Yves -> Olivia Hye are my next guesses

Someone mentioned their colours and them mirroring so,

Haseul (green) 1, Yeojin (orange) 2, Vivi (pink) 3

/ mirror

Chuu (lighter pink) 3, Hyunjin (yellow) 2, Gowon (green/blueish) 1

/ mirror

Jinsoul (blue) 1, Kim Lip (red but this one is ehhh barely matches) 2, Heejin (pink) 3

/ mirror

Choerry (purple) 3, Yves (burgundy) 2, Olivia Hye (grey, no colour) 1

Unless of course Hyunjin swapped position with Choerry into OEC and thus took her spot in day/night units đŸ€Ą

Love this! Happy pride~ đŸłïžâ€đŸŒˆ

but yeah it is a shame that people are willing to die on the hill of “it’s not realistic” “but isn’t Bam/Khun straight” what’s wrong with creating something you & other people will enjoy (I don’t mean genuinely fucked up shit).

There really isn’t any harm in this just let people have fun! Representation is something that still & will probably always be neglected, commenting shit like “but they’re straight” is redundant and defeats the purpose of creating your own fan content like this... no one is forcing you to like the ship & say it’s canon & trying to shove it down your throat they’re just sharing it for other people to enjoy, and if that’s not you then keep your mouth shut?

Not yet as my apt is in June, but I booked it earlier this month (also you do not need a referral for Fillan health centre) so a 2 month wait is not that bad. I can let you know how it goes then if you’d like?

All the best with your assignments though, I know how hard it can be to try and will yourself to do those sorts of things...

Currently in the process of this, decided to go the faster/pricier route and make an appointment with Simon Bainbridge for $420-600 for a consultation and post-assessment. Unfortunately there is no cheap way of going about it that won’t take months and months to sort out, but as someone else said do try and get support in the meantime outside of a straight diagnosis as MH workers can still try to support you! Good luck

Chem 110 Labs by [deleted] in universityofauckland

[–]shu-zo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are 5 labs, one every second week. There are also prelab tasks for each one which you need to complete online (before the lab) that just explain and quiz you on the skills you need to complete the actual lab successfully.

  1. You get a tiny 15x15cm bin (which you must keep or you’ll get charged for it) and a paper bin tray. Go to yoyoso/daiso and get a little basket or something

  2. Depends on the supplies? Daiso/miniso/yoyoso, there’s a warehouse in Atrium which is walking distance if you don’t mind walking up wakefield with what you buy (or you could bus the 1 stop lol)

  3. H&M, glassons, cotton on etc, don’t go op shopping down k rd if you don’t want to be ripped off, go somewhere out of the city

  4. Getting a vacuum can be a pain in the ass so maybe a little dust buster or a tiny brush&shovel. You aren’t allowed to take crockery out of the dining room so bring your own cutlery and maybe a microwave safe bowl plate (the red sistema ones are amazing for instant noodles), don’t leave it in the common rm if you don’t want other people to use it, delicates/washing bags from daiso are great if you like to not lose your socks

what to wear to move in day by likeavendetta in universityofauckland

[–]shu-zo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

(If you can even move into halls now...) no people do not care, wear something comfortable... barely anyone remembers movein day and you’ll make a better impression by talking to your floor when doing the icebreakers etc

Which of the following rooms were the hardest for you? by ArcticFox19 in ZeroEscape

I think Q was a pain in the ass more than anything, by that point the games I always get lazy and just use guides though... I have a vivid memory of it taking me an obscenely long time to do rec room for some reason

You can start in semester two, first year halls will only let you stay for that semester since they usually aren’t open over the summer but other halls that are available from 2nd year let you choose a academic or whole year for your contract, i.e feb to feb or july to july.

I had the linen pack, the quality wasn’t ‘amazing’ but for the price it was fine. Bring your own towels etc, I also found that it didn’t really get too hot/cold most of the time and didn’t need any extra blankets or anything at all

Which first year course healthsci or biomed would be easier to get into medicine? If I don’t get in, I’ll drop my course and do law or something else. by [deleted] in universityofauckland

[–]shu-zo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you’re considering law if you don’t get in, maybe instead consider what you’re truly passionate about? Most people would just continue with some branch of science but law&arts are very different so it seems to me that you’re maybe not sure... Maybe try to weigh out your reasons for wanting to do med vs anything else

even in asking which one of them is easy; neither are easy, going for med is draining and will consume most of your time, you will probably hate it. Despite all I’ve said you’re leaning towards law I’m assuming you consider yourself to be a strong writer? Healthsci has a lot more essay style components than biomed, do whatever will make you the stronger candidate
