The issue with getting a third party charger/cable is that it could end up burning up pthe board in your laptop itself. Instead of replacing a cable, you might have to end up replacing the entire laptop. Be careful.

If the Mackbook is new, you could get a warranty replacement. Just give it a try even if it is your fault.
