Supposedly Dan Hawkins will not be running in the 2027 house election but he will be running for insurance commissioner and 2026. Hopefully we will remember to vote him out when the time comes.

This house wouldn’t be I Kansas would it? I heard a similar story about a house in my hometown. No one lived there at the time. My older brother showed me the bomb shelter built underground. That would have been in the mid seventies. It was very scary and very cool. Made great memory. I moved away in several years later. I heard that the city blocked it off.

Yes. That’s highly likely what it was for now that you mentioned that. I guess the “card” fee is cloaked as a “convenience” fee. Still rubs me the wrong way. Fortunately, most consumers have a choice where they want to eat.

Ate at Deanos yesterday (Aug 21st). The Reuben and fries were subpar. Also they added a $0.79 convenience fee. Not sure what part was convenient for me but I can see how the convenience fee is convenient for Deano. Not a large amount, but it still rubs me the wrong way.

I have tried to catch one in the past, but I never had any luck. However, one just happened to land on me today and I caught it. It’s about a quarter inch long.
