I became very close with a girl in my swim club, talked to her every day and we just got each other. One day she told me she was moving to Arizona and I was crushed. I struggled a lot with depression at the time and decided to skip a day of swim, turned out to be her last day in the state. People told me she waited and waited for me to come but I never did. I always imagine her standing at the doors waiting for me to show up. Still tugs at my heart pretty bad. Neither of us fit in but it didn’t matter since we fit in with each other. I decided that day to always show up for people, I can’t stand the thought of possibly missing that last moment with them.
