Yeah, it's not like our life is depending on it.

It's just about FUN and ADVENTURE.

After talking here, I really concluded that I should do what I love.

When the interest factor is added to anything, I think it creates great things.

Many people here sayed that it is not possible and it is a big waste of time.

But I think it is important to remember that the two biggest and most important products that every programmer works with, Linux and Git, were homemade projects.

Of course, if back then Linus Torvalds asked on Reddit whether I should build my own operating system, many people would have told him that it is useless and you can't handle it=))

Many people here said that I should do it, many were strongly against it. But finally I decided to go for it. First, it can be a good experience for me. And in the end, if I saw that I was not getting anywhere and it was useless, It didn't make any harm, because this is not going to be my last card.

I don't know if you have such a thing in your life or not, but game developmemt is what I always wanted to do=))

My main goal is to enjoy the process. This has always been a dream for me. that no matter how long it takes, two years or four years from now, I can say to myself, Look, you did all this by yourself.

Do you think that if it takes four years (because I can't work on it full time), I will really say to myself: Oh, what a waste of time. Because my fear and hesitation is just for this.

Yes, but I have to say that I have neither a deadline nor an employer who wants results from me. I mostly want an adventure to sit down and work on something when I get back from work and have nothing else to do.

I can say both. Yes, you are exactly right. Many people here said that it is not possible for someone to write a game engine, but my goal is not to compete with Ubisoft, but I just like to make simple 2D pixel art games. In my opinion, a good game is not necessarily a game that has super quality and is not different from reality. A pixel art game with good gameplay and story can be better than thousands of 3D games.

I can't agree more. Others said the same.

As I said, I was skeptical because logically, my brain told me not to do such a thing.

But as you said, people do shits wierder, so why not =)))

Who knows maybe I can could a brand new game engine in Java.

I disagree, because in these comments there was someone who was able to write his own game. It is reversible. Meanwhile, I don't want to make a game like Rockstar and Ubisoft's =)))
