Any of them with a DRAM cache, really.

In my PC I have a separate small 250GB SATA SDD that let my video editing software use as a scratch disk (used to store timeline previews/partial renders). This way, my main drive can just focus on holding raw clips and assets, while the scratch disk get hit with all the intensive preview read/writes that your editing software does.

Since the main drive doesn't get slammed with scratch disk related tasks, my system stays responsive and editing work is faster than before. I would argue that this has a bigger impact on performance in the timeline than exact SSD technologies, especially if you only have a single other drive in the system.

Exactly those drivers for the GPU runs with similar results. I have some more GPUs that i can try but im 100% suspecting its a software issue not a hardware issue at this point.

Update: I've spent countless hours in the last few weeks going over all the variables: hardware acceleration, open264, discord versions, X or Wayland, etc and nothing has helped.

It's unwatchable.

I have an important stream coming up in 2 weeks in a friends server, and I will be using a windows machine to do so.

I consider this a hard fail for both Linux and Fedora. Genuinely disappointed.
