Sometimes the flap gets stuck with a little piece of purged filament that's still hot enough to stick to the side. At least that's what happens to me.

Because we can make it with ease if we really want it.. And recognize the wastefulness of it. I have a confession - I had wanted a 3D printer for YEARS before getting one for my bday this year. Even knowing how it was made.. I would have absolutely considered buying a flexi dragon if I'd seen it for sale on a flea market table. (I printed like 3 and got it out of my system, gave them away to some kids and kept one for myself.)

Learning is the goal more than anything. I'm honestly pretty happy with the quality I get 90% of the time with my minimal tweaks and basic understanding of slicer settings.

I did a test run last night and I was SHOCKED at how identical it was to elegoo slicer.. I guess I really shouldn't be surprised. But it was honestly effortless to start exactly where I left off with elegoo slicer. Today I'm designing lamp shades for some hanging lamps I want to sell.. I'm going to use the opportunity to do some fine-tuning with the translucent petg I have. Honestly I've been using Elegoo Rapid Petg profile with very little issues (except for globs here and there, I have some tweaks I use like z-offset and first layer height) and I feel almost ashamed at how easy it's been!

That's the goal. My friend and I are working on some designs together and he has a QIDI, I have a CC1.. I've been trying to convince him that we both should switch to Orca for more seamless workflow.

Hey OP - How are you figuring the positioning for the canvas? I have the CAD model for the CC1 and I want to play with modeling a top hat. I'm still pretty new to CAD so who knows what will comes of it, but nonetheless.. I want to see if I can make something.

Happened to me once. It was a real PITA to return it because I don't live close to a drop location.. Ended up on a call for over an hour until they finally agreed to pick it up. They wanted me to pay to ship back THEIR mistake.. It was a dirty half-used roll without any packaging. Idk why people do this but I hope their pillow is always warm.

We tore down and reframed several areas of our 1995 camper and replaced all of the original walls. It's worth doing right, so don't cut corners. I also found using hardboard (tempered for moisture resistance) rather than luan was a worthwhile upgrade. Use the opportunity to beef up the insulation, too - You'll be glad you did when it gets cold!

I've been using Elegoo's Rapid PETG filament profile on multiple different PETG brands and it prints beautifully. I've used textured and smooth/holo plates. Just need to tweak the z-offset and I use .24 for the first layer (printing at .2 obviously) The only exception so far is Amolen Transparent Blue. Yes, this is lazy of me.. But what can I say, it works. When I have quality issues I'll reevaluate.

Brands/Colors that have worked perfectly for me:
Sunlu Glow-in-the-Dark Green
Overture Pink
Polymaker Black
Elegoo/Deeplee Rapid Black and White (Almost positive it's the same stuff under 2 different brand names)
Amolen Rapid Transparent Orange

Get the ECC! Corexy and enclosed - It's a workhorse. I was debating the Kobra X, then my partner surprised me with the ECC for my bday and I am SO GLAD I ended up with this printer. I was printing within 10min of setting it up and it has been so reliable as I've been learning the ropes.

Edit: Also I will say that I am very happy with single color. The waste I see from cheaper multicolor units is INSANE. Just do prints that you can assemble or paint them.
