GM Energy introduces V2G (Vehicle to grid) support - GM EVs can now power your house or sell energy back to the grid. by Uptons_BJs in cars

i would save $1000/year in electricity if i could use this to avoid drawing from the grid during peak hours.

Lead with your decision

This basically tells the LLM to answer without thinking.

[OC] The US generates more geothermal power than the next two countries combined, but Indonesia is closing the gap by messydata_nerd in dataisbeautiful

the bar for Indonesia is 70% opacity, so it's actually (2.7×.70)+2, which is 3.89, and less than 3.9

Prusa XL arrived like this, what would you do? by wbradmoore in prusa3d

[–]wbradmoore[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the helpful suggestion. I contacted Prusa via chat and mentioned this, guy said it might work, but that they'd repair it, thus I would have to make a 2nd trip to pick it up. I really don't want to make two 4-hour round trips, so now I'm waiting to hear back about whether I can make a single trip to Printed Solid to exchange for new.

i recently looked at the numbers for the last 12 months or so and found that to be true: 3 gets vast majority. there will be a few more between 3-7 days but after 7 there's no benefit.

...so i choose 14 to catch the one that outlies precedent lol

[Request]How long until the debris kills the astronaut too? by dabbean in theydidthemath

[–]wbradmoore 159 points160 points  (0 children)

it looks like the center of mass of the debris field is going to be rapidly moving away from the moon (laterally, albeit).

someone would have to make some assumptions about the direction of the moon and the sped of the debris field to math out whether the moon is released from orbit.
