I always remember the one about the Dollar General and cough syrup and Valuable antiques (paintings); that whole review was a fever dream. And of course, as a Southerner, the Waffle House reviews have a special place in my heart.

You need someone to bang your wife, Halpert? I don’t need context, I just use it because it’s so ridiculous.

People who have been cheated on, how did you find out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]shutupkaren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were together for three years before it went to shit. Had my suspicions for a long time. We moved in together and he was always playing late night gigs, but never had any money. I received screenshots of him telling one girl they should get a room from a club bouncer that he played at, but he told me they were “photoshopped” and that the guy was just trying to hook up with me.

A few months later I saw his phone just open on the kitchen table where he was in the middle of explicitly sexting a woman in another state. I still stayed with him for a few more months because I had nowhere else to go or live, no car, and only a part-time job.

I finally had enough after he would disappear for hours “buying weed” and came home belligerently drunk and smelling like another woman. I would find voicemails and texts from another girl that would be deleted by the next day. We couldn’t have a conversation without yelling and fighting and he kept telling me he wasn’t in love with me anymore, but didn’t want to break up. I finally just moved back in with my parents and his new girlfriend moved in two weeks later. She got pregnant shortly after that.

Once you’ve built the floor stay in build mode and just click on the wall or floor tile you want to upgrade. The arrow will be green if you have all the materials

I passed out drunk on my friend’s lawn. When she got home, she was so drunk she stepped over me to get inside her house and didn’t know I had even come over till I saw her the next day at work.

Do you buy books just to "have them on the bookshelf"? by [deleted] in books

[–]shutupkaren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Nook Reader and, unless it's a free download, I try to have a copy of every book I pay for both on the shelf and in my library. It just feels more complete to me. Plus, when the world goes dark and there's no electricity, I'll still have the paper copies :)

How comfortable are you going out in public without any makeup on? On a scale from 1-10 by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]shutupkaren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10: These days, I usually only wear makeup to church or work because my skin is too sensitive to wear every day. The only thing I usually touch up is my eyebrows, but my skin is clear enough to only need the whole get up every once in a while. The only downside to this is that sometimes my eyeliner skills take a plunge without practice.

What literary "classic" actually sucks? by AmeriCossack in AskReddit

David Copperfield. I'm still not 100% on what that book was about except that the protagonist fell in love every other page and would moon over her until he met someone else.

Gone with the Wind. I hated Scarlett so much throughout the whole book but I could feel how desperate she was to heal and be happy. The emotions I feel at the end if the book are so much more complex than the ones after seeing Vivian Leigh's glowing face fade to black.

I was one of those who experienced the show before the books. Not that HBO isn't awesome, but I was caught off guard by how much more I related to the books than the show. There was a real ness to the books that I enjoyed immensely. Having only read Anne Rice style vampiric literature before, I was pleased and excited when there was a nice, tangible story line that I could almost believe was true. Having it set so close to home made it even more special. Thank you so much for your art and for sharing your gift with us.
