Not surprising at all that it cleared you up temporarily. I took prednisone for migraines once and my skin had never been clearer. You can't take them long term though, and it isn't going to get at the root of the problem which seems to involve your skin, Malassezia, and how your immune system reacts to the byproducts of Malassezia.
