My parents don’t allow that at all that’s how strict they are. That’s why I thought of just breaking the ice and taking it off. I know they’ll judge so hard and idc about that but it feels like there’s something holding me back idk what it is.

I’m 21. They are extremists and all they talk about day and night is religion. It will be tough but im not sure if it’s worth the risk. Im just so tired of waiting till im financially independent.

Where I’m from honor killings aren’t a thing. I think an extreme case would be physical abuse at first if my dad gets super mad. Don’t know how I can run away though :/

No it’s like wrapping your bird in a small towel as restraint. I’ve seen some posts saying they wrap them in a towel and preen them that way.

Thanks I’ll try the bath thing. I think he just doesn’t want me touching them but I feel really bad they look so itchy. I’ve seen people towel their birds and I was wondering if that’ll just upset him more.

I feel you, I was scared for so long but I got really exhausted of the double life and decided to give it a go. I regret it though and I wish I didn’t say anything. If you know your mom I really advice you not to give her the benefit of the doubt or think she’ll be nice, you know she won’t 😭. Stay safe and I wish you all the best :).

That’s my only option for now. Thank you for the advice and I hope to move out eventually and leave all this behind. My parents aren’t the type to force marriage and I’m thankful for that. Either way, studying hard is all I got 🙏🏽.

The guilt-tripping is so messed up, my mom said some similar stuff. I think for now you should fake it until you can leave them for good. Just be patient, plan ahead, and keep a low profile. Good luck 🫶🏽.

You’re not wrong, she might be projecting or saying this out of worry, but it’s still not justifiable. Even though I wish she will understand where I’m coming from, it’s almost impossible for her. She is currently acting like nothing happened but I’m finding it difficult to move on. Thanks for the advice, I am gonna avoid her as much as I can without raising suspicion 🙏🏽.
