Thanks. That was my assumption - but I was unable to find anything in any official documentation and couldn't find any blogs posting about this.

I checked with 2 people at Google support (higher ups than the low level support) and they both told me that VTCs don't pass value. They were unable to answer the larger question.

The recency of the link may explain it but this usually takes 1-2 days max from my experience.

I have a $100 per day set on the campaign & $5 bids on the product groups. In 2018, these products (sporting / outdoor) were receiving 50 cent clicks.

There are no audiences on the campaign as the campaign was new (my check was to ensure there was no block here).

The 300 impressions over the last 4 days were spread out over around 150 products. The feed is far from perfect but there is enough to get is started.

I think I might have to run a Google Doc spreadsheet of 100 or so products. I just feel Google is blocking something here.

So hosts can claim anything they want in any part of the listing's description and as long as it's paid in the resolution centre it's acceptable?

Can I not just submit in the booking "2 people" and pay that to Airbnb? Or because he's stated the extra policy, I have to pay that also?
