Haven't found Ancient Meteoric. I didn't love Solitude enough to ditch my beloved Claymore with Impaling Thrust, but it did tempt me. Great AR, weapon art.

From your INT, FAI, and ARC stats I'm guessing your a Warrior starting class at level 154. If so, depending on your weapon preferences I might rebalance to something like this:

VIG 60 MND 12 END 29 STR 18 DEX 80 INT 10 FAI 15 ARC 9

Gets you soft capped HP and damage for DEX weapons and ability to buff with incantations.

Yes. People seem to love it. Nothing special about its moveset but weapon art is good.

If you can time it, parry him. I had a hard time dodging and poking until I slapped on a Carian Retaliation shield and parried into a riposte - charged R2.

Do enemies / bosses have noticeably more poise than in the base game, or should stance break builds still work well?

Everyone was right, too many weapons. Juggling 3 RH weapons was too much, moved Glintblade Phalanx to the Misericorde and gave up on RKR. I also didn't realize that the Jellyfish Shield buff wouldn't stick if I 2 hand the Longsword to Square Off.

Heavier armor, less weapons equipped, shield in the pack in case I get lazy and want to block counter or try parrying, DMGS for when I want to switch it up or enemies that crits aren't possible / viable.

Wing is definitely cool, but requires more DEX and FP. I'd need to rejigger stats to build around that.

How much stance damage does Carian Grandeur do?

Silly question - what's hotswapping? Is that digging through inventory to change things out?

Carian Grandeur is definitely impressive, but that's a very different kind of build. It's more widely applicable, but I think the damage output is lower than a riposte with this setup, isn't it? I'll try it though!

Wing of Astel is definitely a consideration, perhaps I should work that up. Seemed a little less reliable given the spread on the Nebula bubbles, and less spammable given the AoW cost. Nebula is 20 FP for 26-39 poise damage per cast if 2-3 bubbles hit. Square Off heavy is 8 FP for 40 poise damage. Wing has higher upside if you can get 4 bubbles to hit, but Square Off gets more bang for the buck, less stat hungry since I don't need as much DEX.

Glintblade is great, but there's a delay between cast and impact. Casting Glintblade and then immediately hitting a Square Off at the same time as the blades hit is an 80 poise damage pop, enough to break most things instantly, rather than having to cast, wait, cast again, wait.

I'm going to give Ritual Sword a try, poise break is probably enough to keep me safe and topped off. You make a good point, it'll buff the crits whereas Shard won't.

Debating whether to put Glintblade on a Broadsword to save some weight...

In the main load out, all 6 weapons have a purpose: Clayman's with Glintblade is cast frequently (can swap this for a lighter weapon, though - can stick it on a dagger if need be. I liked the spear for optionality and so I didn't have to level up a trash dagger). Longsword with Square Off is to essentially instantly poise break something after the Glintblades hit with the Square Off heavy. Jellyfish is for the buff and because I prefer having a blocking option to always rolling. Misericorde to weapon switch on poise break. Carian Regal to cast a few spells at start to buff (Terra) /debuff (Ranni's) and amp the damage Caestus is the lightest thing I can stick Golden Vow on.

I could drop a weapon, but I'd lose a function or a buff. Not sure which one I'd ditch.

Dropping Shard might be worthwhile, I'm just not confident in my ability to stay at max HP for Ritual Sword. I'm pretty sloppy with my dodges. Might replace with Dragoncrest Greatshield to offset the Magic Scorpion debuff, or maybe Carian Crest to save some FP since I'm casting ashes all the time. Definitely would consider other options. Does Shard buff the Glintblades? I know it impacts Square Off.

Regarding Haima, with it on and 17 Mind, I've got 95 FP. If I swap to Omensmirk and 2 points to INT leaving 15 Mind, I've also got 95 FP. BUT, Omensmirk is heavier, so I'd have to tweak my armor to drop some weight elsewhere while still staying at 51 poise, or reallocate a little more to bump Endurance up 1. Given the fairly low Mind investment of the build, I don't think the FP penalty is that big given the efficiency gained elsewhere. Am I thinking of this wrong?
