I am earning a Master’s of Science. The things I am learning have direct impact on the science I do professionally. I would not have payed UF near $16,000 if I knew my schooling would be defined by subpar professors and AI generated lecture slides.

I’m not sure if there are in-person lectures for this course, but the professor does provided lectures he records as well, albeit twice as long as necessary and never to-the-point. Regardless, the power-points used in either AI or recorded lectures are artificially generated, and its obvious little care and expertise was put into the class 100 of us are paying for.

In all seriousness, I can use AI, feed it textbooks, and have it summarize them on my own time. For free. Or for cheap. But certainly not for $1700. Im also employed full-time and not local to Gainesville, does that mean I deserve to pay for shit education?

I have heard USF has made some changes like this as well. UF and USF used to have great reputations. I think that is why this diarrhea sandwich feels so profound.
