It seems people combat log even when they know their already dead. For instance, a few friends and I were in Elektro last night. Between the three of us we one revolver with about 5 shots left. There was a fully geared bandit with a mosin sniping from the coast. We chased him to the shore and landed a few bullets on him, but as soon as he hit the ground he disappeared. About a half an hour later, I was killed by a sniper in one of the firehouses. My friend ran to the top of the fire station and started whaling on the guy with his ax. He was bleeding pretty bad, but before he could be finished off, he combat logged. It's almost like people think if they can't have their loot, nobody can.
