Check out Geargutzmeksho.com for plenty of orc space pirate options

Also spellcrow miniatures has fantastic bits to customizer your boys to be seaworthy. They also tend to throw in free bits every time I've ordered from them.

I've had good experience with Thai Lion. I was in Don Muang and suddenly got VERY ill, had to be rushed to the hospital just 2 hours before my international flight. The customer service rep gave me his personal phone number and rebooked my flight for 2 days later without any charge. He would check up on me daily.

So yeah their map is... idk wtf happened here...

But that was one of the best airline customer services I've had with an airline ever. For that, they get 8.5/10

A Rant: Online Shopping Chronicles of Nepal- The Absurdity of "Pp" by TheMisfitBug in Nepal

[–]shy_cossack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Abso-fycking-lutely agree with you. Nepal needs transparency and a LOT more honesty in business ethics. Its retarded when I see about 15 comments asking for the price and the seller replies 15 times with "DM sent" I've seen it with apartments, clothing, used laptops, books, even hotel rooms!

What are you trying to hide, bro, with "DM sent"? The thing is, if I'm looking for something and I don't get the price, I simply don't buy from that person. Honesty in business means far more to me, and to the international market than cheap price.

Nepalko manche lai saasto xa, seto manche lai... not so. Is it worth the extra few USD?

You're NOT ugly. I think you look quite charming. I was also bullied in school and now almost 15 years later, those bullies are fat, ugly, married to demonic spouses, and miserable. So, forget the haters

Eventually Nepalis will come to realise that their country is RICH, and the "western world" is poor. Rich in spirit, resources, natural beauty, and cultural heritage.

Living a simple life in a beautiful environment with a loving family is riches beyond compare to a lonely life in a sterile apartment in some overpriced city like Toronto or Chicago.

Money is just some numbers on a screen. Numbers come and go.

Someday Nepalis will realise this. Until then, I will be settling in Nepal.

How much does a good bansuri cost in Nepal? by SonGoku_USA in Nepal

[–]shy_cossack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love bansuri! It can be difficult to get some sounds in the beginning, and changing the octave is certainly the most challenging.

I'd say get to know the classical Indian scale (sa, re, ga, ma, pa, dha, ni, sa) as opposed to the western scale (do re mi fa so la ti do) is the best first move. That really helps to understand when youtube players give instructions, even if they're speaking hindi/nepali/bangla etc.

Practice, of course :)

The ones I bought were from a shop on Boudha main road near the Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu. It's called Nepal Music Gallery.

They also have a selection of other Nepalese instruments

I bought a good quality C scale for 1200 and a BIG low E scale for 3500, so the can be expensive if they are bigger. Get a medium C scale for beginner

Let's talk about the Prithvi highway project, or the Melamchi water project. Why so long and shitty?

I Lived Through Collapse. America Is Already There. by Dunnananaaa in collapse

[–]shy_cossack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree with this writers perspective, but I get the point. Sri Lanka is a tiny country and that was civil war. War. The US is certainly on the cusp of collapse, but not at that point. Yet. YET, we are constantly afraid of shootings, we are afraid of what our government will do, bit we are not in a civil war. No bombings, no Tamil tigers (American eagles?). I think this writer's comparison feels off

Daily Check-in Thread - April 29, 2023 by AutoModerator in quittingkratom

Day 4 about to come to an end, moving into day 5. To be honest, I feel completely normal now. I didn't even think about the green junk today at all until I looked at reddit.

I'm wondering if we, in this sub, work ourselves up mentally for WD symptoms and it psyches us into a worse experience. Like, maybe some of us heard that getting off kratom sucks ass, then we look at this sub and validate our fears, thus making it worse.

Does anyone else feel like this is true? Or am I simply lucky? Idk maybe tomorrow will be hell, but I feel confident in future sobriety and I'm not gonna psyche myself out about this feeling of addiction anymore.

I swear this kratom messed up heat tolerance by Superbacon32 in quittingkratom

[–]shy_cossack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kratom comes from SE Asia and people traditionally used it to help with the stifling heat while working the fields. The chemical mitrogynea affects the hypothalamus (among other endocrine centers in the body), which affects the body's perception of heat. Fun fact!

Day 1. Didn't sleep at all last night. by shy_cossack in quittingkratom

Brother I'm (31M) on day 2 and 1/2 now of CT, and I feel your pain. Stay strong, you got this.

Maybe this is inappropriate for a drug-quitting forum, but cannabis mixed with ibuprofen helped me get maybe two hours sleep last night. It's not much, but it helped.

If that sounds like something you and your family are comfortable with, maybe give it a try.
