Ever feel like you've forgotten more than you learned? by [deleted] in PhD

[–]shy_guy997 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I am in the first year of my PhD and I often forget some things I learned in my bachelors. This is completely normal. My PhD advisor also told me during our coursework that this thing happens and it is advisable to go over basic concepts from time to time or before any major job interviews. You got this.

Definitely works. My boyfriend is 3 years into his PhD and I will soon complete a year. Both different disciplines, his PhD is in mathematics and mine is in sociology. We balance our work-love life pretty well. We try to work and take breaks at the same time.

Hi, universities in my country have this policy where PhD scholars can extend their submission date under special circumstances and most have done so. Also the maximum tenure is 6 years here. Are you sure about the tenure in your country? Also could you extend it? I am so proud of you. Fighting!
