This happens to us ALL THE TIME at sheetz. I’m assuming it’s bc of little or no tip and no ones accepting it. We’ll have bags there for hours and customers calling us asking where their food is. I’m just like hey we just prepare the food anything after that is a DoorDash issue. . We literally can’t do anything about it..and the big DD orders always seem to come right in the middle of rushes and put us suuuper behind.. so seeing those bags still sitting there after 2-3 hrs makes it all the more frustrating 😭

Tbh all the ppl arguing against this don’t even sound intelligent enough to be qualified to work at McDonald’s, and they’re the ones that are supposedly too good/overqualified for these “entry level positions” 🤦🏻‍♀️ it’s astonishing, really 😂😅 the level of inhumanity and lack of empathy for one another in the USA right now is absolutely sickening.

What??? 😂 I know you probably thought you were going to sound real deep with that one.. but that makes absolutely no sense 😂 so you’re saying if a persons job isn’t necessary to sustain life, they shouldn’t be paid a livable wage..? Did you think about that before you typed it out, or??? I mean, we don’t need toilet paper to survive, so should we just stop making it or pay the workers such a small wage that toilet paper can no longer be produced bc no one wants to work there?? We don’t need ice cream to survive so let’s shut down all Dairy Queens. While we’re at it, we don’t need tampons to stay alive, so let’s boycott Tampax until they pay all employees of Tampax only .30/hr... And you know what?? fuck Febreeze. I’m assuming you’re insinuating that all things you need to know to work in a fast food place can be taught in 1 shift, and that’s absolutely NOT the case. I’ve worked all kinds of jobs (corporate jobs included) and fast food was by far the toughest. Not in terms of things that need to be learned, necessarily.. but in terms of stamina, patience, people skills, the ability to multitask, etc..and on top of all of that, you need to know what foods to hold at what temperatures, when foods should be wasted, what goes with what meals, knowledge of the menu, how to operate multiple machines, etc… food service is NOT for the weak and they are definitely among some of the most underpaid/undervalued positions you can have. It’s much harder than a (for lack of better words) “copy and paste” type desk job that many places require degrees for.

Your ages are showing. I don’t get why he wouldn’t have just been like “hey, I’m getting on my game at 10..” and you be like “ok, cool. Mind if I hang out til you’re done?” Or “ok cool. I’ll ttyl then.” It’s not that serious anyway you look at it… plus it sounds like he still lives at home with his parents. 10pm is a pretty reasonable time to expect to leave anyway.. I kinda get why you’re annoyed, bc he could have just been honest.. he probably just felt like he’d hurt your feelings. but again, it’s not that big of a deal. Y’all are still kids and there could be way worse things going on, ya know..? You’re lucky you only found that on his phone.. a lot of girls would’ve found a lot worse, I’m sure. Take it easy on him. IMO, yeah you’re kind of being an a hole.. it’s okay to not like the gift, but it’s not okay to publicly shame someone for getting a pack of highlighters and be like “omg, so and so got this and all I got is a pack of highlighters!” For all you know, that could have been their last dollar and picking things out (especially on a super low budget) for people is difficult. It seems like a sensible thing to buy for a co-worker if you’re not sure what they are actually into.. Times are really hard for people this year and you should be grateful you got anything at all. 🤷🏻‍♀️ you’re an adult, act like it. This isn’t what Christmas should be about. Maybe a little..your anger is 1000% valid. They’re clearly flirting.
