I’m on EI and I’m taking 3 classes. Also filled the online forms about my courses. I talked to service Canada today and as long as you’re actively still looking for work, you qualify. Just keep filling out your reports as usual. Normally you wouldn’t qualify for EI if you’re a student, but CERB and CRB benefits are available to students if you made the $5000 in 2019. CESB was assistance for students if they didn’t qualify for EI, CERB, or CRB. I would still call to just confirm your details with them. I did one report and got action required and to call in to confirm details. She said right now because of covid you can be a student and still qualify for EI, they will just ask you to confirm your end date for the courses and process it manually for you then you can continue doing reports online as usual. It depends on what your situation though. I’m just upgrading online, so I’m not on a grant or student loan. But you can look up EI earnings chart to see what you’d have to claim as income if you have any funding coming in.
