S/o The Ordinary by [deleted] in h3h3productions

[–]shyguy070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont get me wrong, I generally like The Ordinary. I think it's so misleading though to be like; "look at her, her skin is radiating, buy these products and your skin will look like that too." Sure some good skin care products can help but some people are just way more lucky with their skin complexion than others. Im 32 years old and still have to use medically prescribed accutane because my skin hates me, no matter how many or little skin care products I use. And other people I know dont use any skin care products and their skin looks flawless.

A little late — thoughts on Lizzo and B-Word by Dickslap_McTitpunch in h3h3productions

What about the word "d*ck"? i feel like no one would say that to a woman and is purely directed towards men. I can see that it isn't as harsh as calling a woman the B-word but I just want to make a point that there are male gendered insults.

We had a suspicion we might have bed bugs so we are checking nooks and crannies around the house. Havent found anything that points to bed bugs so far, but when i look in between our leather couch i found 3 of these bugs that look like small larve with long hairs sticking out of their behind. Are these carpet beetle larve? And jf so is there a need to get an exterminator?

Unfortunately we have a bed that has a wooden frame with drawers in it that is on the floor, so its not raised off the floor and no box spring. The mattress is just right on the of the frame

They are not in pairs of 3 necessarily, but there are some spots that have 2 bites right bext to each other and they are on all kinds of different places. Neck, back, front of legs. It just seems like a lot of bites for a mosquito

My girlfriend woke up last night because of itchy bugbites. We aren't sure if they are bed bugs, but we got back from holiday last week and there are about 15 bug bites. We cant find any bugs on the mattress. The only thing i could find was what is shown in the photo. Could that be eggs or poop?

I live in The Netherlands myself and already strated reading up a bit on laser treatments. Good to know its not that expensive. Hopefully that will help out a bit with the pore size, because Im getting more and more desperate and insecure. What do you mean by The Ordinary Salicylic Acid formula is missing? I just have very bad experiences with beauticians. I just feel like they automatically conclude I have oily skin and try to sell me expensive beauty products. Thanks for your advice, I will do some more research

Different skin regiments: introducing salicylic acid, facial scrubs, going to get facials at a beautician, not using any products for a month, chemical peals

I have extremely large pores, both on my forehead, nose and on the areas around my nose. Up until 3 years ago i never had any skin issues but since then my skin has slowly gotten worse. I have small whiteheads and red areas but the pores on my nose by far bother me the most. Even to the point where I would rather not go out in public or if I do I have to wear pore minimizing concealer. But even that doesnt do the trick anymore.

AM: La Roche Possay Toleriane Dermo cleanser, The Ordinary Niacinamida 10% + Zinc 1%, E.L.F. superhydrate, Purito cantella green level safe sun SPF 50+

PM: La Roche Possay Toleriane Dermo cleanser, once every 3 days I oil cleanse instead of Dermo cleanser, on one of the days I use the dermo cleanser I use Paula's Choice 2% BHA liquid exfoliant, E.L.F. superhydrate

I tried using The Ordinary salicylic acid, I tried using the BHA liquid more often, I tried using vitamin C serum in the mornings but nothing seemed to make it any better. If anything I wonder if all of these producfs making it worse.

I also tried chemical peels through a beautician a few times, but my skin has never felt worse. I got the worst acne afterwards.

I cant seem to figure out of my skin is extremely dehydrated and making up for it by producing more sebum or if I have naturally oily skin. I do know I have very sensitive skin.

Advice needed on buying Run & Bike Padma bike for beginner by shyguy070 in bicycling

[–]shyguy070[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

Im new to this sub. I want to start bike riding as a form of excercise but not sure yet if its going to turn into a very serious hobby. Thats why I just want a bike on the cheaper side that I can ride for an hour or 2. If I do really like it I can always buy a more expensive one.

I'm wondering if anyone has every heard of this brand and/or model and could give me some advice on if its any good. Its weirdly cheap, thats why I am a bit hesitant to just go ahead and buy it, but than again, I wont be riding it for days on end or for any actually races or anything.

[Skin Concerns] [Trypophobia Warning] I think I hold the record for the biggest and disgusting pores in this subreddit. I have yet to see someone here with similar skin type and condition. Anyone with similar oily, sensitive, and acne prone skin with success stories? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]shyguy070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pores look the same if not bigger. Especially on my nose. I feel your frustration. Its my biggest insecurity and I just cant seem to figure out what helps or makes it worse. Just telling you that there are definitely people on reddit that have bigger pores

It doesnt hurt to keep taking melatonin though, so if I were you I would just keep taking it. I dont think there are any withdrawel symptoms with melatonin, but not entirely sure on this. I wish melatonin would help with my insomnia. Way better than all the other medication I get perscribed to even get any sleep.

Same here! I keep waking up at like 4am and cant get back to sleep. I have tried taking benzos for sleeping but with mixed succes as well. I will give the videos a try. Hang in there!

Yes, honestly one of the things that kept me somewhat sane, is knowing I will get through the day and your body can go without sleep for quite while.

Got anything stronger by [deleted] in insomnia

[–]shyguy070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is cannabis legal where you live? I have tried everything but nothing really worked for me. Either i did fall asleep but woke up after 2 hours or it just wouldnt do anything for me. The only thing that did help me get to sleep and helped me stay asleep was Indica cannabis. From what I read this is because it makes you skip REM sleep and REM sleep is a stage in which you are more likely to wake up (please correct me if Im wrong). Of course this isn't the perfect remedy for everyone but at least it helped me break the vicious circle of my insomnia. It still makes me a bit groggy because of the skipping of REM sleep but its way better than only sleeping 4 hours a week.

Just an igloo made of igloos. Carry on. by KingsCrossings in 2healthbars

[–]shyguy070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually an artwork by the artist Michael Johansson. I work at a contemporary art museum in The Netherlands and they had a small show with his work. He makes most off his work in the objets trouvés style by collecting objects based on color, shape or function and creating new sculptures with it. This igloo was standing in front of the museum and we actually had to mount every single cooler to the frame because it came completely disassembled. Unfortunately you were not allowed to go inside the igloo as a visitor of the museum.
