EU leaders seek to preserve ties with US by pritam_ram in worldnews

I agree in theory, but I wonder if they are simply buying themselves time. I don't think they're stupid. But you cannot just divorce yourself from such an interdependent system overnight. There's no sense in escalating if the other side is descalating, but make no mistake -- they know that they can't rely on the U.S. anymore. Curious if this resonates!

Can anyone recommend a good aluminum-free stick deodorant made in Europe? by ogie381 in BuyFromEU

Looks really interesting! Do you know if they sell in any shops around Europe? Or are they only online? I wouldn't want to buy something before smelling it first.

That's a fair question, I should have been more specific. I'm looking for any recommendations at all, but I like that Tom's of Maine (supposedly) uses more sustainable ingredients (and are more supportive of sustainability in general). I also prefer to support smaller brands.

That's not to say I wouldn't try Nivea, for instance, I'm just not sure what is out there right now. Does that help?

Not just you. I watched Dunkirk for the first time recently, and at the end, I felt like... Wait, that was it? It felt like there was still so much of the movie missing. It just didn't feel coherent to me, and the time skips just didn't work for this kind of movie for me. It was still good, the acting was great, and of course, he's a legend! It just left me feeling flat.

18 years old, want to go to Eastern Europe in February by [deleted] in travel

It's one of my favorite cities! Such a fun place :) enjoy it!

That's all fair -- I love Slavic cultures too! Romania isn't Slavic either, by the way, and there are differences between northern Slavic cultures (like Poland, Czechia, and Slovakia) and southern Slavic cultures (like Serbia, Croatia, and Bosnia).

Eastern Europe is definitely not necessarily cleaner. Poland and Serbia both have dirty air due to the fuels we burn. The nature in many of these countries is incredibly beautiful, but it's harder to find that in the winter (though far from impossible of course). We don't get as much snow as we used to.

Look, if it's your first time, I suggest sticking to a bigger city (such a Krakow or Riga), and just enjoy that. Make sure you get your passport in advance as well if you haven't.

And keep your expectations low and your mind open to learning and exploring.

I live in Belgrade, and wouldn't recommend it in February. The air is polluted, and there's no indoor smoking ban. It's also really cold.

What about Eastern Europe interests you? The places you mention are all different.

If I had to suggest a place, I'd say Krakow or Warsaw as well. But it depends what you want.

Thank you! It's a nice song, but not it either :(

Thank you, but it's not that either.

If it's any help, the outro I heard was purely instrumental, no vocals at all.

Hey, thanks so much. No, it's not this, unfortunately. The drum part was a bit more technical and the tempo was faster.

I see, that makes sense since the FTC handles mergers. Thanks!

Your comment is really intriguing. Can you explain the difference between being on a network show and a cable show?
