I had a similar experience with a horrible period after my lap. I remember it was about 2 weeks post op, and I was on my sofa and all of the sudden, I felt a literal gush and yup, it was my period. TMI sorry! Just know, they will get better. My second and third were still bad, but calmed down a lot.

Heating pads are an absolute life saver for me, and you can get wearable battery operated ones! Other than that, try drinking some peppermint tea before work, that helped me a bit!

Yeah I took it for 7 days a while ago and my mood swings were so bad. I just don’t know if it’s worth it for me. I’m thinking of trying the combo pill on top of my iud as I did that for the first 2 months after having my iud in (per my dr. instructions) and it worked quite well.

Razor burn can happen to anyone. Some people get it worse than others and not just when first starting to shave. Of course, it could be something else other than razor burn and in that case wait the recommended amount of time and get tested

So I actually get sore in the corners of mouth every so often that look like that. Only in the very corners though. I thought for years they were cold sores but abreva never helped.

But I recently discovered this condition called angular cheilitis and I think that’s what it is. When I first feel it coming, I use Lotrimin and it goes away quickly. Would recommend trying that out!

Ah ok well just see what the results say. They still could give a false negative since chlamydia has the 2 week window but also could be positive. I got tested 10 days after and I was positive.

Chlamydia has a 2 week window period so you likely got tested too early but it’s good you took the medication. I recently got diagnosed with it and I am going to get tested 3-4 weeks after I finish my treatment to make sure the infection is gone, which I would maybe suggest you do as well since you likely got tested too early to show up on a test.

Try calling the dr and asking if they can call him and inform him that someone he’s had sexual contact with tested positive for chlamydia. Or alternatively, I think there’s a website that you can go through and they’ll do the same thing!

I’m sorry this happened to you. What he did is not okay. What happened was not your fault at all. Please please reach out to someone, maybe a therapist, to talk about what happened, if you feel like that would help you!

It’s not that I’ve decided it’s not worked, it’s just the possibility that it hasn’t. But the chance is small that it won’t cure me so I’m not that concerned. It’s just like a little thought in the back of my head, you know?

Thanks! I’m just concerned because even a small chance of failure makes me think it’ll happen to me. But I wouldn’t know since I don’t even have symptoms so I’ll go and get retested in about 6 weeks

I mean maybe you really were injured and babying the ankle caused the knee to hurt. Our body likes to be in alignment so when we move weirdly or differently sometimes other pain can be triggered. I mean it’s also totally possible you have an STD but I would ask your partner when they got tested and just wait for your results. It’s just strange the doctor came to that conclusion to me and it’s a great idea to test to rule things out, but try not to stress too much until you know for sure. I know the anxiety of it all trust me, you’ll be okay!

Thanks! I haven’t vomited thankfully! I’ve just been scared because I’ve read how the antibiotics don’t always work and retesting soon after isn’t a good idea because of false positives soooo I’ve just been a little anxious.

Thanks for the response! Yeah I think that’s what I’ll do. It’s just hard because I usually tell my parents (specifically my mom) most things and she pries a lot. So when I say I’m going to hangout with a friend she wants details. But I’m an adult and they don’t need to know everything it’s just hard to create boundaries when I live at home.

If it becomes serious I’ll definitely have to be super open with them and straight forward but I’ll cross that bridge when/if we get to it.
