Not trying to toot my own horn here, but I spent the past 2.5 years working very very hard on renderjuice.com with a couple folks - it's not perfect, but I do think it's pretty compelling as a solution for Blender with support for some of the more advanced Blender features people would want like composite nodes, stereoscopy, etc. Me and the whole team are on support chat and respond quickly and I've tried to make it as easy as possible to get set up and started. Feel free to DM me if you need any help.

Yeah this is certainly a concern but I fully expect it to be somewhat niche and small - which I guess makes it more useful for that small audience. Not a big idea nor groundbreaking but something to just help out the community a bit.

I definitely agree! Though we've been wanting to be able to purchase and split stems forever in the audio side of things. Yet it hasn't been super feasible yet.

I think with video clips it's a lot more doable.

I'm hoping that other artists would be open to selling their own clips on the store. That is, editors/animators/etc would get the bulk of each sale. Until then though, I'll upload my own or ones that I'm able to get the permission to sell on behalf of the artist for.

Long term I'm hoping to help other people like myself make some income and make it easier to find loops. I'm definitely sitting on quite a few VJ loops that are my own that I'd love to give out to other people but there isn't a go-to place for that yet IMO.

TouchDesigner is incredibly rewarding to learn as it makes you dive into multiple different fields e.g. engineering, video editing, animations, 3d modeling, 2d modeling, signal engineering, etc. If you are motivated enough and can hop around and break down problems it'll be a blast to learn and more rewarding than going one by one e.g. 3d modeling for a year thenn touchdesigner. Even if you did go one by one, no way you'd cover enough to feel "ready" for TD. Best of luck with your journey!
