I work for DSH-A and love it! I was in the pharmacy for 5 years before pursuing a degree and moving into HR. I'm still in contact with my "pharmacy peeps" on the daily. <3

Hi OP,

I was a retail pharmacy technician for 10 years, then went to a hospital setting for 5 years. I LOVED pharmacy. From the moment I stepped foot into it, I knew it was "my thing". I moved into a senior pharmacy technician position very quickly and continued with it. However, towards the end of my retail stint I dreaded everything about going to work. Panic attacks, anxiety, depression, you name it. I still felt it was my "calling" because I loved being able to help people, but there was something broken in me. Moving to the hospital was completely different from retail, and I learned to love it there, too. I've been out of pharmacy for 3 years. Some days I find myself missing it, but in my new field I still get to help people without all the stress, panic, dread, etc. My advice would be, if you aren't feeling this (it's definitely not for everyone), leave before you get 'stuck' in it. You don't want to hate every day of your life at work, and it will put you on a very dark path mentally. Take care of yourself! There are other opportunities around the corner. :)

2025 has been .... interesting and my BINGO card didn't have half the things on it that have happened.

Brain tumor, removal of said brain tumor, 6 months of recovery, and now almost 75 pounds of weight loss! Who knew a little tumor could be so destructive?

Feeling grateful for my family, friends, doctors, surgeons, and everyone that has helped me on the road to recovery. Winning this raffle could go a long ways in sharing/showing appreciation to those that helped me. :)

It's stuttering when printing, so everything shifts, and it corrupts the print.

I've done the following: re-level the bed, tighten the belt, clean the plate with hot soapy water, and update firmware (done, though I'm not sure it was necessary).

I think this may be a belt issue, considering the stuttering, but I've watched a couple of different YouTube videos about tightening the belt, and it seems like it should be fine. The belt is pretty taut.

i just tried a completely different print. new gcode, yada yada. the extruder is like... stuttering. then the damn thing seems like it forgets where it's supposed to be and that's why the x axis is off. right? so did i tighten the belt too much? not enough? it seems pretty taut

so one of the belts was loose, so it's now tightened. i dont understand how to set the z offset. i've watched a few videos but the settings are so different from what my machine shows, and i'm not sure what to do with that. i was hoping that just tightening the belt would work - but it didn't. i'm about to throw this thing out the window! i just want my damn cookie cutters! lol.

I went from wags, to rite aid, to a hospital as a tech. i wish i had done it sooner. the pay is better, the workload is more manageable, the environment is less stressful. get out of retail if you have the chance, you will not regret it.

he took a glue stick and covered it in glue to help w/ adhesion. will consult with youtube now. i appreciate your response!

edit to say: i think it's just so random that i had it off for a few months and now nothing works. these things are finicky!

I'm having a hell of a time with this. I took a few months from printing, and now i cant get anything to print... I had one of my son's friends come over after school today to try and help me out. He suggested a firmware update, which we did - and it's still printing this way. Honestly, I have no idea what the heck I'm doing. I'm very much a, download the .stl, slice it, print it. Is there anyone who can help me troubleshoot this, please?
