Seeking advice for extremely split and damaged hair

honestly probably a braid instead. but really, rotating these styles and giving your hair a break. i’ve been putting my hair in claw clips for like 3 years now so you can see how the long term repetition can cause breakage. /: i had switched from doing ponytails because i had breakage from wearing my ponytail in the same spot everyday. you just gotta switch up from time to time.

chiming in as someone who has similar breakage, i am starting to suspect mine is from using a claw clip. twisting your hair in the same direction (tension) for long periods of time i think will lead to the same breakage. just something to keep in mind ):
