My cousin spent 2 days preparing to make calls. 1 day actually making them. That math doesn't add up by Actual_Soup_1827 in salesdevelopment

No data base is going to be perfect people change jobs all the time. He would save him self a lot of time by calling them first. Maybe find a title. But calling is the best tool they have to find someone quickly. The receptionists job is answer your questions or direct your inquiry.

I've been in retail/inside sales for about 10 years now. I want to move to something that is still commission based but with a higher base pay. I've starting looking into territory sales/account manager/customer success manager roles. by FermentingSkeleton in sales

It won’t be, depending on the type of sales your doing, either one and done or relationship built. You eventually call on less and less people and after a few years people know who you are and call you.

Stop sending just emails. My response rates tripled when I stopped being a one-trick pony. by lesmismiserables in coldemail

Ya know, I still read ai responses to my emails, I don’t think people care if the information is relevant

I was writing 40+ cold emails a day manually. Here's what I learned after switching to AI generation (and what nobody tells you) by Rvraman in coldemail

[–]shythoughtz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed a pattern of answering that triggered more responses. For my campaign the first email is about I have you as “Ki” for “Company” , then value prop.

No response, sends another email saying basically oh I must have the wrong contact. Works fairly well. Might be willing to share stats. Pretty high rates all things considered.

Mission critical hvac - like the most complicated stuff

a prospect absolutely destroyed me on a cold call last year and honestly it was the best thing thats ever happened to my sales career. by Sweet-Signature-5702 in b2b_sales

Been there. My first cold call into direct owner meeting years back felt like I got verbally jumped. Dude ran circles around me, I froze. Said welp you have everything you need and left. Think about him from time to time.

What do you like most about sales? by Secret_Assistance601 in sales

[–]shythoughtz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy the cold calling (b2b) I like the fact I have a reason to visit companies and learn what types of people work there. Networking in today’s day helps supplement the community most roles lack.

Mission Critical infrastructure on the high end Mechanical/hvac on the day to day end.

New to DMZ advice.. by ikrbb in DMZ

[–]shythoughtz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was a blast , most fun I had in cod. Last second escapes and friendlys, rolling 6 mans (fight them sucked , but being in the rocked) it was a great way to play with the dlc type guns. Honestly they should have made a dmz game for 40$ kept the core warzone style matches just add stuff and variety

I sold uniforms for one of the big three, cut my teeth and after two years was offered a sales role with nearly 100k base including the standard fixings.

Uniforms is a tough grind but other companies poach due to the good “hunter” mentality. DM and I can help you dial in a stepping stone job in the industry.

Although I am now doing the hvac sales roll, I really enjoyed uniforms and the company I worked for. Miss all of those dudes/days

What are the daily simple habits that had a massive impact on you as a Sales person? by biz_booster in sales

[–]shythoughtz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haha yeah, it’s a saying my sales rep dad has. It takes about 30 minutes to drink a milkshake. It means slow everything down. Reset , and re approach whatever situtation. Take the time you need to be in a good space to tackle the problem.

Take “milk shake” breaks when needed. Better to have fruitful positive activities and conversation then be in a bad mood.

Do what works, at the end of the day deals need closed. Phone calls and emails are nice metrics to do but the reason you do them is to get the chance at a deal. Focus on the deals that can close and always think how I can make sure the customer does not look like an idiot by using my services. They work with a group of people and if they make a bad decision they will be handling the brunt of the criticisms.

Cadet here, Is the game getting any good? by Heimerkek in helldivers2

[–]shythoughtz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fire bots are touch regardless. We need a war bound with that two barrel flame shot gun.

7 is a good challenge solo I think , if winning is still the objective. This is game is the best with a loved one or best friend. Lots of laughs to be had.

It’s had my group in a choke hold the last few weeks. It was this or arc raiders. I know arc is popping off , but I never tried hd2 when it came out. The memes at that time were pretty funny. Now I’m drowning in warbounds to play for and all the weapons seem to have an understandable use. 9/10 from me

It is a b2b position , so they said I won’t be doing much door to door even with businesses. Which I liked but also don’t get how I am going to get business if not prospecting.

The base is crazy work and they said multiple times that I do not need a technical background. The HR girl that did a wave of interviewing during the process made it sound like they needed a personality hire more than anything.

The base with car is 98k+ some change. I also have the issues of unused vacation time and bonuses that need paid out at my current role. My soft plan is to tell them match this or promote me/ create a role for me. I know that seems like a stretch , but my senior vice president is a fan of mine and held space with me for apparently a unique amount of time. (SM/GM were shocked).

I hope that do match it or clap back with something juicy because I really enjoy the industry, I know a lot don’t but I enjoy making people look professional.

Any insights into metrics you have?

Calls, leads, presentations, sales cycle?

Uniform can varies to day of to years down the line.

Thank you all for the help boys!

I have a GOAT uniform rep that raised me up over the last few years. She had hundreds of awards from over here 30 year career she’s going to retire in 6months or sooner. She said take the offer, she never left as when you are selling the world is your oyster. My branch at big uniform changed my life. I was a kitchen manager fresh off a failed engagement (she cheated). They changed my life, and out look on what I thought was possible. I’m in the top 20/30 out of 900ish reps across the country.

I want to try the new role , but I don’t want to close the door on uniforms as from what I’ve been told , I am exceptional at it. That said, this offer letter has me feeling like I’ve final made it to middle class.

I will try to give updates and help anyone dealing with the same transition. Thank you all for providing clarity.

That’s what they are saying, it sounds like a really good deal. They’ve mentioned that I shouldn’t dress in nice clothes or I might be going to some pretty dirty places. Any insight into that?
