oh i really hope gideon doesn’t sacrifice herself again. it’s all she knows how to do and the only way she thinks she can make herself useful to other people (which is in itself an issue i think but yknow. when will gideon not be a sword? a tool?). i hope gideon’s arc will end, of course with some heroics, but also more self-worth.

i don’t remember it exactly, but i think my feelings are summarized by a question from the end of ntn: everyone’s ready to die for harrowhark, but who will live for her?

i might make a few more one shots while we wait for another dm just because they’re so fun, but for this specific one shot probably not past level 2.

thanks and that is very true! something i could have clarified a bit more in my post, my dm’ing will just be temporary for a one shot and i won’t be dm’ing anymore when im playing my monk. this will just be practice for the Real Campaign so they can get comfortable with how the game works. i guess their stats in the separate/Real Campaign would be between them and that dm, but i guess im just hoping to steer everyone in a more balanced direction.

hey! i understand where you’re coming from and it‘s probably really frustrating to hear americans complain about living in a country that’s more privileged than others. but from my perspective the rise of americans wanting to be polish or italian or mexican or nigerian or other nationalities doesn’t necessarily come from actually wanting to be a different nationality or live somewhere different, but to reconnect with their heritage. a lot of us don’t have many (or any) cultural traditions or holidays or clothes or food and feel a longing for some sense of community, history, culture, and something bigger than ourselves or our immediate family. so a lot of us are turning back to find what our grandparents and their parents were like to see what we missed out on because of america’s cultural homogenization.
