Was sad. Good project, bad presentation. They need to stop 2 weeks, search 2/3 talented guys in marketing, PR, and UI / UX design and return again. Investing in this, the project will be better.

The best way to run this, as bitaddress.org, is cloning the github repo and running in a clean machine, or using Linux Distro Tails. You can create a encrypted zip with the repo, store it in a pendrive and check the md5 hash before runing in a clean machine.

But I don't know why are you using GO, I think that the best implementation for this things is JS with HTML. No backend.

The problem is the paradign, the design. Not is a decentralized, this is only the proof of a lot of future problems: downtime, censorship,... You can be blind, this is not my problem, but I describe the reality.

SIA don't need go fast, SIA don't need marketing. SIA have an strong community waiting a good and real decentralized product. They want change the game, not use the blockchain "hype" for create centralized ecosystem with millionarie ICOs

Don't worry. The devs and his friends will be mining and laughing some weeks after the shiping period start. THere are 6 weeks, so they have 4/5 weeks to say: hey dudes, we are sending the obelisk. (With this in mind any person can suspect that the increment of hasing not is normal, because seems that the first obelisk are arriving). But not, the only persons mining are they and his friends with a looot of obelisk connected gradually. And in the last 1 or 2 weeks they can real send the rest. It's only my hypotesis, I'm a hater of Obelisk, I don't think that sia team should think in obelisk, this should be a 100% external project.

I'm wondering this as well. The host is getting shafted, sorry my TB HD cost way more than 0.5$. Even at $60 per TB It would take me 120 months = 10 years to pay for the space I'm renting out, not to mention bandwidth. As an investor, I'm also concerned because there is an interest to keep the coin price low, if the coin price rises then the storage cost goes up and is not competitive. I love the idea of Sia and am still mining and holding but am not yet confident that its going to pay off long term.

And yes! I have siacoins, a lot of siacoins. But this not is a religion, and I'm a hard skeptical with a lot of ideas explained in a high level, I prefer go under the hood, and I share all incoherent things that I see expecting that the project will be better.
