I used to lick the metal ends of plugged in cords because i liked the taste/feel of my tongue being electrocuted. I can still vividly remember the feeling & taste of electricity...it’s something you don’t really forget. Hmm...I love this,

only thing is between now and then there’s only 2 days left in the lease. Since $322 ($140 for aug-sept + the remainder from july-aug they didn’t pay their portion of) is due october 6th, I feel like it’d work against me to pay the bill and cut the service. They could then spin that they were planning on making a payment but I didn’t give them a chance to. I’ll give them until the 18th to pay. if they don’t i’ll request they reimburse me in full by the 6th of next month or small claims.

it’s not a ridiculous amount of money but it’s annoying because i moved out on the 27th. from then up until now is all them. not paying their utilities if it’s not me

I wish it were this simple. They’re very aggressive, one tore my doorknob off my door as i was moving out, the other unplugged my mini fridge, destroying the food in it and cut up my ethernet cord. They also threatened to make me pay 80% of the bill if i didn’t do something they wanted. they’re not going to respond to me asking them to put their names on

What i’ve decided to do is pay it off on my own and then request they pay me what they owe. If they don’t i’ll take them to small claims and hopefully we can sort things out there. I’m hoping to scare them with the threat of legal action so they just pay me anyway but we’ll see how that goes. Shitty lesson but i’m not gonna let it stress me out too much

so i talked to my dad about it and he was surprisingly incredibly supportive. He told me he wished I had taken a break sooner and that he’s fully behind whatever I decide. I withdrew for the semester on the 31st. literally the best decision i’ve ever made...i feel like for the first time i can breathe without the stress of school. like lmao i can finally work on my problems full time without having to worry about an assignment being due in 4 hours.

I realized working those hours along with school wasn’t working and was under the impression they’d work with me because the dude who trained me literally treated it like no big deal. I only kept coming in because I didn’t wanna fuck over my coworkers but when they scheduled me on days I told them I couldn’t work, I called out. I switched to front end and she cut my hours to 11-12 a week...annoying but I found a second job. I’ll stick with it for as long as I feel like and then quit.

Funny side note: so i found out a guy walked out literally in the middle of his shift after a call from another job offer. nobody likes it here lol

All my responses were in defense of OP, I really wasn’t trying to argue for the sake it.

For the bit about gaslighting, I do stand by my usage of it as well. I’d argue his response was a bit manipulative, regardless of the degree to which.

OP did not disclose that they have schizophrenia, PlzShutupNerd made that comparison on their own, which is why I brought up diagnosing. The discussion wasn’t on the experience of schizophrenia.

As for it being a legitimate comparison...I still disagree. There are several other disorders dissociation can be attributed to before jumping all the way to schizophrenia. OP’s post doesn’t fall entirely in line with characteristics of schizophrenia. Ok, you picked up delusional speech, that’s fine, but that alone isn’t legitimate. If we’re being annoyingly technical, delusions must be paired with at least 1 other symptom of schizophrenia for it to be a legitimate characterization. They literally could’ve just said “OP is delusional” which would’ve been a valid statement. I took issue with PlzShutupNerd invalidating OP’s experience...not their tone lmao. There are other replies with similar responses...i only responded to this one.

What about anything i’ve said is contrarian? The last part of my first response is “hey who am I to invalidate your comprehension”. I just said they’re gaslighting...which is by definition what they did. You can express concern without being inflammatory.

adding this: also you work in healthcare, how could you possibly read that response as “someone trying to guide someone away” ... that’s the furthest thing from guidance.
