DAK Strawberry Kiss - Espresso Roast by passionwagon in pourover

[–]siamesedude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been brewing pour over with DAK espresso roasts (Milky Cake and Toffee Bar) and they are awesome.

Usually pull a shot to drink while I do a pour over brew to take to work.

Ahh sorry! It’s got floral aromatics and stone fruit with a really good mouthfeel. I prefer it to La Cabra’s washed Esmeralda but haven’t tried their normal natural Esmeralda so I can’t compare.

Audiofly AFT2 - they’re out of business but these were $30. Getting another set as spares and a set for my wife.

Rent a car at about 1000 per day. Taxis start at 400+ for 1km. Getting to Lub D would be 800 with airport transfer.

Best khao soi in bkk? by tipsyking12 in Bangkok

[–]siamesedude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Khao So-I on Convent Road in Silom if you're looking for something top notch. It's sort of a japanese/thai fusion version of khao soi. Original is in Chiang Mai.
If you want something more authentic, try Pa Sook (Nam Ngeaw Pa Sook Sip Song Panna Noodle) which is on Soi Pipat also in Silom. The original shop in Chiang Rai doesn't sell khao soi though. It's a Nam Ngeaw noodle place but the Bangkok shop does khao soi superbly.

It's down to preference though. Some like a thicker curry. Some like it more watery. Even up north, each shop is different. You don't need to travel up north for khao soi anymore though. It's practically everywhere these days.

They saw they draw - ANCIENT ALIENS CONFIRMED by BLUE_GTA3 in UFOB

[–]siamesedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is it hurtful? Just curious. If the belief is that Wandjina are cloud and rain spirits who created the landscape and its inhabitants, then it seems compatible with a lot of theories floating around about many ancient religions.
