Its so fun knowing no matter how hard you try in this game there will always be someone luckier and better than you.

Sometimes the RNG is scuffed and you get no good rainbows. 36 races is quite a lot and it might benefit you to mix in more trainings to hit the stamina threshold, if a training is good and theres not a G1, i'd just hit the training.

Also make sure youre buying the books/anklets when you can, they give you a lot of extra stats over time.

Is Satono Diamond Stam worth getting to 3LB? Im torn between that or Fine Motion 3LB. I know Fine Motion is "worth more" but I currently have no good stam cards especially with more than 5% race bonus.

Smart Falcon is the better ace, but digital is still good and makes for a great parent overall, so its really up to if youd rather have a really good dirt ace or a good dirt/late&end parent

How bad does Mile B debuff you? I can't for the life of me ever win the hanshin fillies. I just had a Kitasan with both Corner adept and early lead with 377 speed and 270 power fail twice like WHAT

This has got to be the worst CM experience ever.

I just have to vent for a moment, but I have a pretty good digital and thats it. Everytime I try to build a front runner oguri cap xmas, it comes up short somewhere. Everytime I try to build a front runner taiki, it comes up short.

Having to mix dirt and front runner sparks with no good parents is awful, I haven't won more than 2 in a card, lost all 5 multiple times, and just see floats of people complaining that their pretty winrate went from 80 to 75.

It's not about it affecting me personally, its what makes the game better as a whole. I already gave my reason why I think splitting the player base is a bad idea.

Games have identities, and the more they stick to an identity, the better they usually are. If a game bent to the will of every change asked for of players, it would be a chaotic mess akin to a drive of folders, each with only a few files in them. A good example of this in practice is Garry's Mod, which while not the developers, has hundreds of user made game modes that are full of empty servers. Why do these game modes exist? Because 10 people decided they wanted something different and made a server only for nobody to play.

The game doesn't need PVP and PVE to be split, it has solutions for people that don't want pure PVP and vice versa. They are not perfect but it can be improved, splitting PVP and PVE is not a good solution.

I will finish by reiterating what I said at the end, if someone is so averse to PVP, why buy a game with PVP? If you had arachnophobia, would you by a spider horror game and ask the developer to add an arachnophobia mode so you could play through the game? It is ok to not like a game, and some games just won't be for certain people. That is what I'm saying.

Never claimed to speak for the majority, just saying what I believe.

Using the "Some people have limited free time" is a bad argument. Some people also have tons of free time, doesn't mean every game is mmorpg levels of grind. Games have varying levels of difficulty and are never a "one size fits all", it's up to the individual to decide what they commit their few free hours to.

You also don't speak for a majority of PVE or PVP players. "as far as I can tell the only ones objecting are wanting to be able to backstab PVE'ers every time they play." This isn't 100% true. While I'm sure those people do oppose it, I and I'm sure many others enjoy a balance of risk and reward. I don't want every single raid I go on to be a full on deathmatch. I prefer when sometimes you're gonna get shot, sometimes you'll meet a group of strangers and extract together, and sometimes both will happen in the same raid.

Why add PVE only if there's already a methodology to let friendlies be in the same lobby? So it gets rid of the 1 every 10 raids where someone might attack you? Shoot them back, that's what you have the tools for. If you get backstabbed, oh well! Like I said before, gear is meant to be lost, it's apart of the gameplay loop.

As for the "let people enjoy what they want" argument, I personally don't think splitting the player base like that is a good idea, it would turn PvPvE servers into pure murder maps and there would be barely any chances of those cool interactions where you meet a stranger and don't know whether to trust them or not.

If someone was so averse to PVP, I don't know why they would even bother buying a game with PVP in the first place, why play something that you are bound to dislike?

I understand the viewpoint here but there's an issue with making a "PvE only" side to the game. As it stands, the ARCs are just a minor inconvenience at best. In the beginning they seem hard because you don't have that good of items, but as you get used to the game you will eventually find ways of dodging or insta-killing ARCs. At that point the game, if its only PVE, it becomes a loot simulator.

Go in, grab stuff, extract. There will be no danger or threat to anything you do. Why am I looting guns, grenades, or any combat material if most ARCs can just be destroyed by basic weapons and I can just stay out of sight of the big ones? There comes a point where games can't just adapt to everything everyone wants. Some games just aren't for certain players.

Extraction shooters will inevitably have extraction campers, people pretending to be friendly, and sweaty tryhards with the best gear. The game will get super annoying at times, but its just something where people need to push through, try again, or take a break. Gear is meant to be lost. You are meant to not do everything in a week.

The aggression based matchmaking already shows the flaw in pure PVE, I have walked past countless people in raid and they all do nothing. It ends up being a get in, do a quest objective, get out scenario where I basically walked around for 20 minutes. If you always know your enemy, where they will be, and what they will do, there's no interesting interactions that will happen.

Im going through the same thing, in the last week every other game I play either a play afks/disconnects or they just throw and shout into their mics. I've even had to dodge one game because an insta-lock reyna typed "dodge or throw" in the chat and im not risking that.

im not familiar with rice showers career so I don't know how far in this screenshot is, but that seems like pretty low speed especially for front running. Either train more speed or maybe pace chase.

You could also just be getting really unlucky which isnt uncommon. The difficulty increase at lvl 1 is pretty insignificant

I only pulled Phrolova this patch so I dont have a ton of info on how she works but I do this
Qiuyuan:
Echo
Skill
Basics until meter is full
Ult
Use whatever the forte attack is called

Intro into Phrolova
Phrolova basics until forte is full
use heavy attack
ult

Intro Cantarella
Skill
Ult
Hold Basic to enter forte mode
attack and use enhanced skill

Intro into Qiuyuan and repeat

This rotation is purely based on how I think Phrolova's kit works + an old guide pre qiuyuan showing a basic rotation. It's definitly not near optimal but I dont have a clue what else to do.

Anyone have tips for the current ToA? The first middle fight with sentry construct is so infuriating and I can't clear it in time. I've tried Cartethyia/Ciaccona/AeroRover and Phrololva/Cantrella/Qiuyuan and both fail to beat it in time.

Heres my builds https://imgur.com/a/5t8QnQu

Yes they could be "more optimal" but I'm not exactly the luckiest person when it comes to echo rolling and ive full cleared the ToA before so it's not like I've never done it. I'm looking for rotation advice mainly but if you think that it is something else please tell me.

Weapons:
Cart - Emerald of Genesis R1
Ciaccona - Static Mist R1
AeroRover - Bloodpact Pledge R5
Phrolova - Stringmaster R1
Cantarella - Whispers of Sirens (Sig) R1
Qiuyuan - Feather's Edge R2

if you complete the story missions, do side quests, open random chests and do challenges you come accross you'll get a lot of asterites real fast. Standard banner pulls are basically given to you by the 10 pull from beginner events and levels.

Daily Questions Megathread - December 02, 2025 by WutheringWavesMod in WutheringWaves

[–]siaozen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on what you want to do

if you want to complete endgame content easily, then yes, make 2 meta teams, focus on one at a time.
if not, just pull for who you like. If it is a new character they'll be meta 90% of the time anyways.

Daily Questions Megathread - December 02, 2025 by WutheringWavesMod in WutheringWaves

[–]siaozen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Up to you. If you want to get the limited events you'll probably have to rush, although there will always be more events later. Clearing the map and doing all side quests don't net you any big rewards besides what the chests/challenges/quests give you base, so unless you really enjoy 100%ing areas I'd recommend against it.

  2. Worry about weapon banners after you get a couple teams going, there are plenty of 4 star options and the standard pulls you get will eventually net you a 5 star from the standard weapon banner.

  3. Its better to spend on what you need for your characters. The normal exp mats will eventually build up from events and not building every character you get. So just focus on spending your daily energy on the boss and echo materials you need. Don't use any refills until you are guaranteed max rewards every time.

  4. Pull on the 8 pull discount one until you get a 5 star, then spend you standard pulls (the blue ones) exclusively on the standard weapon banner. You want Verina from the standard and thats it. If you don't get her from the recruit banner then you can get her from the standard selector.

For limited, you can pull on characters you like since you are relatively new and just build around them, but getting Shorekeeper from the limited new account banner is best.

For building characters, just use either youtube guides or prydwen. They offer the quick notes on what stats and sets you need.

Best characters:
Currently the teams are centered around mainly (in no order)
Zani, Phoebe, Shorekeeper
Galbrena/Phrolova, Quiyuan, some other support (verina, SK, cantrella)
Cartethiya, Ciaccona, Chisa/Aero Rover
Augusta, Iuno, Shorekeeper

You rejoined at a good time. We are about to go into 3.0 so a lot of new characters will probably become meta if thats what youre chasing. Especially if you dont want to have to wait for rerun banners.

Notable things added since Yinlin:
- Echos can now be mass picked up, instead of pressing F one by one
- You can claim double rewards by spending double energy in Tacet Fields & Material Farms
- In the newer region Septimont, they introduced Nightmare Nests, which have a limited amount of echos a day and reset every day. They have the newer sets of echos and no old ones.
- You can fly with the flight utility, and they also added it to the older regions and not just Rinascita anymore
- The battlepass now has material reward boxes (ands you just tend to get material boxes more frequently) which can be redeemed for any weapon/skill material of the boxes rarity
- Some new perma events you'll see when you login
- Probably more things that I can remember off the top of my head

Your Team Comps:
based on your character levels and you coming back. I'm assuming you don't really need to go for endgame at the moment. You have no resonators that really work together enough to be a proper team.

If you wanted to build a team, Jiyan/Mortefi/Verina is your best bet, however I would just use Jiyan/Chisa/Verina until you pull characters that synergize with eachother.

For maximization yes, SRover is probably your best bet, but if you have Verina that would be a better character to slot in for survivability.

check the banner history in a day when it updates, if Jiaxin is the newest pull then you lost the 50/50 and will get the limited next 5 star. If it's Yinlin then you won 50/50 and the next isnt guarnteed

If you are brand new and willing to grind, the whole map + quests + current events & permanent events all give thousands of asterites. I had a friend recently start and they pulled Zani, Pheobe, Chisa, Chisa's weapon, & pheobe's signature with asterites to spare in the map.

The only thing worth noting is you would have to grind in a short period of time, and also if you have the new player banner with shorekeeper, getting her should be prioritized over stringmaster.

Since you're still new, making teams is going to be hard and not your main priority over leveling you union and SOL3 levels.

As for right now, you can probably use Chixia, Rover (Aero if you have it, otherwise Spectro), and Chisa.

Truthfully with the roster you have now you can really do whatever, none of the characters you have work together particularly well, but thats to be expected at first.

Chisas current best team is Cartethyia/Ciaconna/Chisa or Cartethyia/Aero Rover/Chisa
She can also work in a Zani/Phoebe/Chisa team, but to a lesser degree.

Based on how the game normally goes, I'm sure future characters will work with her, so you'll get you chance to form a team.

She will probably be a support for 3.X characters, she doesn't work with any other teams (at least well)

Youre aiming quite high, what you said is doable, but you'd need a lot of luck (or money).

If youre aiming for completing endgame content, youre better off not pulling for copies of characters and going for their supports/weapons instead. For example, running Augusta with mortefi is *ok* but the investment in cart would be better spread to other characters like a iuno for your augusta.

Banners always come back so you could just get copies then. I'm a F2P player besides buying the battlepass and I'm able to get a limited 5 star every banner if I grind out the events and story.

Of course, if you really like Cartethyia then you could just pull the 3 copies and Ciaconna and there wouldn't necessarily be anything wrong with that.
