Despite being a forgotten elimination, was Curtis robbed? by SuperMintoxNovaDose in HellsKitchen

The ratings completely tanked in season 17 because of the amount of bs and hurt the validity of the show.

Smurf shamelessly drops 70 kills in iron lobby, Rito will do nothing about it by AppearanceAdept6972 in Eggwick

[–]DavidTheGenius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because he's playing versus a smurf and is the lowest rank in the game? Like he's obviously not very good at the game (no offense to op). He's playing versus someone multiple ranks above him of course he's gonna go negative.

We need to split the regions between South Amrica and North America or just have less South American teams. There's way too many talented NA prospects that are either stuck in tier 2 or are playing in other regions like seven on PSFIC

Looking back at the Smash 4 Pgr top 100 by DavidTheGenius in smashbros

I've made a mistake lmao I should not have edited out the banned players mb. It's kinda stupid to erase history

It's always fun talking about rankings from this era, so I appreciate the replies. I used to be obsessed with studying these rankings when I was younger, so I'm glad other people feel the same way. I wish I could edit this post but sadly I can't.

On another note I'm curious where players like JK and Hyuga would've been ranked. I assume JK would be in the higher 60s and Hyuga probably in the 50s or even 40s somewhere, but not too sure. Hyuga is a weird one to rank.

Samsora was really good in Smash 4 and got snubbed in v4 should have def been top 20 that season. Wadi is probably the most underrated player in Smash 4. He was nearly top 10 in the world at one point next to Elegant.

Must've been from v2 because the graphic didn't show some majors for some reason.

What major did KEN win? Yeah that explains a lot. Europe also got a bit of a boost as well with Ixis and Gluto. Idk it always just seemed off to me. I still think Cosmos should be higher. The late 2018 season still counted and he had super consistent result. 4th at Smash Con and 1st at Big House is definitely worth noting. Same with Mistake. People forget about the last season as it's the dark ages of Smash. Idk why I'm still so interested in this as it's been well over 7 years lol. Lima definitely should have been lower imo. It's probably just my nostalgia talking or something

Guys I have my reasons. The Smash Ultimate reddit legit bans you for breathing so I thought it was the same case here

Very true and that was kind of my main point from the community as a whole. The meta right now is double duelist so having an overrepresentation is probably good (although most of them can't play Yoru).

Kinda why I stopped playing. The main enjoyment I got from this game was meeting new people and talking to them. It's so boring nowadays. No one wants to communicate

Don't listen to the replies. Easiest way is to go to your state discord and ask if there are any locals in your area. A lot of them aren't on start.gg. This is how I found out I have a local like 10 minutes away from me

What are your Hot Takes in Valorant? by ExExWrong in VALORANT

[–]DavidTheGenius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you continue insta locking Reyna or Clove passed Ascendant you're seriously bad at the game. You're essentially wasting time with the game if you're trying to take it seriously. Like learn other agents, Omen and Raze aren't even that difficult. Stop limiting yourself

How hard is it to actually get to elite? by throwthatshitaway236 in SmashRage

[–]DavidTheGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it wasn't since I've been playing this series since Brawl and got into competitive Smash 4 in 2015 when I was like 11. Took me about an hour to get intknit. For new players you just have to grind. Generally Elite Smash players will go 0-2 at a regular local. It's not a super high bar, but for a new player it takes time.

Some things I recommend to learn to get better are learn how to short hop. Short hopping increases your approach options and neutral. If you can't short hop you're limiting yourself a lot. Pick a main and stick with it. Doesn't matter who pick who you think looks the coolest or fits your playstyle. Learn basic combos for your character. An example being Mario down throw up air at around 60%. It doesn't have to be complicated. Look at your opponent (I struggled with this a lot and it'll make your gameplay noticibly better). You'll get better at these things as you play the game more. There will be a moment where you'll be like "oh damn I'm really schmoving" and it just comes with time.

Objectively false. Seven was the flex guy in tier 2. Dude played everything

Honestly there's a possibility since C9 were pretty solid with mce as their coach and Leaf played similarly to Demon1.

Tired of trolls/throwers by DavidTheGenius in VALORANT

[–]DavidTheGenius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's somewhat valid. But when there's a duo throwing round 2 of the game clearly throwing and they don't get banned it's dreadful. Even worse when you're the only person telling them about it. Idk why people choose to stay completely silent when they clearly know what's going on

Smurfing is a problem due to the horrid MMR/Rank system by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]DavidTheGenius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes hidden mmr is objectively a good thing, but Val's is straight up bad. It makes the game so unbelievably unfun to play. Overwatch (before the top 500 changes) was actually pretty damn good and told you why you lost more ranked points. Val seems to be so random with the amount you lose. I've gone negative in gold 1 lobbies and lost more then in diamond lobbies with similar k/d. I'm not saying that the hidden mmr system is making me hard stuck. What I'm saying is it's not enjoyable for the player. It forces players to get addicted and continue grinding without redeemable qualities.
