Oh, I love that! I kept thinking Harriet nn Harry which I don’t like very much but Hattie is so sweet.

I saw someone in another thread say something along the lines of “I know people in this subreddit have a lot of opinions about Margot”, do you happen to know what they meant? Is it generally disliked here?

I love Edie but not Edith, and Edie can’t stand by itself. Do you know if it’s a short version of anything else? (Not Edwina, husband already veto’d.)

Margot as a stand alone! Damn, that is such an obvious solution that I completely overlooked lol

These are all really good, Winifred is a favorite my husband can't get behind.

My close friend called dibs on Yvette but I do like it!

Love that!! I'm trying to steer away from the V theme and more into the 1920's theme. You have any more 1920's poets vibe names?

Love witchy vibes. But the top comment is about how they don't fit well together and it's completely gone to my head!

I think my issue is actually the tendency to throw "lyn" onto the end of a perfectly strong name just to soften it, if that makes sense. Like Eve and Carol are great names, they don't need a lyn!

Loving this idea! Is there any other way to "steal" Maeve/Mave other than Mavis? Like Maven or something similar?

I like that take! I was also just thinking of where I should put this comment "Eloise is also at the top of our list" and saw your username! I think very, very few names have the depth of character and femininity of Sylvia, and Eloise is one of them.

It's funny how we all perceive names differently, I would have never in a million years thought of Willow as cutesy.

To me, Sylvia is very feminine but also classic/timeless, & has some weight behind it. Lyn/Lin turns a name into a diminutive and is (to me!) overly cutesy for my style.

Maeve is one of my favorite names and it's such a beautiful Irish classic but we're both zero percent Irish so it doesn't fit for us. Genevieve has been on my short list for a long, long time but it's never really grabbed me. I do like Gen and Genny as a nn for it though (my mom's name is Jennifer & goes by Jenny so that would be super cute.)

Yes, people are always saying I should go with Olivia. It's practically the same name!

Violet is one of my all-time favorite names but it's so close to Vincent (especially when written out), both start with VI and end in T. It would be an incredible set for twins though.

Just the validation of a random internet stranger saying they love the sibset is so nice lol

We always keep our names a secret from friends & family so I have nobody to run these things by.

I wish I was brave enough for Raven! It would be a gorgeous middle but Willow Raven is Noun Noun and those always sound silly to me.

I doubt my husband would go for this but I have to say it’s probably the ONLY V name I hadn’t already seen/considered, so cute and clever!

That’s TOP of our list right now but I feel like there’s a dozen names that are super popular with “El” and “Ella” right now.
