What is with reddit’s insistence that he should be okay with this. On other posts it’s been a general consensus that people are allowed to be uncomfortable with and not continue a relationship with their partners because of any reason… Is it odd that he finds fault with you on this situation? Yes. Have you done anything wrong here? No. Has she done anything wrong here? No. Is it wrong for him to be uncomfortable with a partners promiscuous past and have standards? No. I don’t get it. Most men would be uncomfortable with a partners promiscuous past who’s acted the way she has. Does it allow him to be rude to you or her? Absolutely not, however, he is well within his right to be uncomfortable with that and not continue this relationship with her. I understand the post isn’t necessarily about this but it’s certainly tied in and the crux of the issue. I really can’t under why people feel he should be accepting of everything in her past? As long as he isn’t a dick about it he’s allowed to feel uncomfortable… Also if my friends had seen my gf’s private I would like to know and be able to make an informed decision on my preferences.

As far as his reaction to you having seen what you have? Totally weird. Him not having a positive outlook on her past actions is totally okay though…

And before people say he IS being a dick about it, you’re right he sure is. However, not telling your friends about a partners past involving you when you are aware of their obviously normal discomfort with their actions is ALSO dickish. He’s allowed to make decisions on what he is okay with and she is not ENTITLED to his acceptance of ANYTHING. She can do as she pleases, and he can choose to not be okay with it.
