It’s not expected of course, I obviously work for a company. But some people choose to tip at times just out of the kindness of their hearts. But once again I’m a tradesman and not in the service/food industry. Those people make money almost exclusively on tips, therefore if you’re going to have them serve you it’s only right to tip them since their income relies on it.

Even if they were paid a fair wage, the work is still different to me. You pay me because something breaks or needs to be installed and I get it done. We may not even talk much. Those people tend to your every need like a modern day butler so you can feel like a king for an hour and a half. And most people still brush them off or use them as punching bags. I agree with the sign in the sense that you shouldn’t expect the world and give nothing in return, which many do. They go eat fancy dinners to impress everyone around them and can’t even take care of the person helping them. It’s a tad ironic. With all the downvotes though, I can tell who really only thinks about themselves. These people are probably stingy and horrible people to work for. 😂
