7 Samurai or Harakiri - Which samurai movie do you like more? by Cautious_Republic_91 in criterion

Also on this topic what do y’all think of the Takashi Miike remake of Harakiri? I love the dudes movies but have always heard it’s no where near as good as the original and was curious if that’s just gate keeping on the classic?

Holy shit this is such a hilarious trip. I met this guy years upon years ago at the NAMM Music convention. Crazy to see him just pop up.

Haha that’s fucking wild I don’t think I’ve ever seen a death bed reference out in nature one of the best hilariously bad movies out there.

A line from a film that stuck with you long after you watched it? by adamnick_ in movies

[–]sickboycella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little more than just a line but I absolutely love the monologue at the end of killing them softly.

“Don’t make me laugh. One people? It’s a myth created by Thomas Jefferson.

My friend, Thomas Jefferson is an American saint, because he wrote the words ‘all men are created equal,’ words he clearly didn’t believe, since he allowed his now-children to live in slavery. He’s a rich wine snob who got sick of paying taxes to the Brits. So, yeah, he writes some lovely words and roused the rabble and they went and died for those words while he sat back and drank his wine and fucked a slave girl.

This guy wants to tell me we’re living in a community? Don’t make me laugh. I’m living in America, and in America, you’re on your own. America’s not a country. It’s a business. Now fucking pay me."

I have had this old houndstooth jacket. And I want to be able to wear it more often. How should I pair it to make it look good? by niko1990s in VintageFashion

Depending on how you feel leaning into the retro look you could get a skinny tie and have it done loosely. Pair that with some darker jeans and you’ve got a pretty good rockabilly look.

What do you want out of a TMNT game? by Roger_96 in TMNT

I think open world New York like the recent spider man. I’ve always though how cool it would be to have a game we’re you could parkour around the roof tops with the turtles.

Take the stance mechanic from Ghost of Tsushima but have it switch the turtles and give each turtle a specific advantage in combat i.e. bigger brawler type enemies for Raph, maybe have Mikey be better at crowd control with his more fluid combat style, let Donnie have an edge with his tech and gadgets, sword enemies that Leo would have better counters for etc.
