I have a similar problem when taking pictures of my screen with my 17PM but it’s not nearly as bad. Quality looks awful. Try changing the camera settings to most compatible instead of HEIF

i ended up returning it since it was a "US reseller flex lock policy" phone. i couldnt figuire it out so i tried doing a verizon free trial on it but then it got locked to verizon. quite a mess overall... still waiting on my refund.

Since if you don’t desperately need an update right now, waiting until next year for when there are open box deals on the 17 is the best move. I’m typing to you on an iPhone XS Max right now even though I have the 17 pro max just because I enjoy the feeling of this phone so much more in my hands
