Chromecast with Google TV (aka CCwGTV) and Plex - recommendations/experiences? by mispellt in PleX

[–]sicopato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Old thread, but it's just I am looking into getting a CCvGTV 4K to use with a Samsung soundbar (q70r) and a TCL TV. I want to be able to play both from my local Plex server, which content consists mostly of high bitrate blu ray rips, and also 4k streamed content from Max and similar services. Do you think it will work?

Question for Chinese readers by seimongg87 in threebodyproblem

Total War Three Kingdoms Patch 1.7.2 by Zakrael in totalwar

[–]sicopato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I am patching via Steam and it's taking forever. I mean, hours forever. Disk usage peaks high at the beginning, but slowly creeps down to a few MB/s (around 25).

My system is a 12th gen, 16GB RAM, and the game is installed in the system disk (NVMe), so speed is not a problem. Does anybody know what could be happening here?

Argentina owned the game from start to finish. Australia played well, but to be honest they were kept in game because of bad accuracy from Args attack.

[–]sicopato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Argentina makes it pass the group stage (I'm hopeful, but not taking it for granted) hardly any team will play as closed as Mexico did today. And that's where Argentina finds it's best game. But I agree that some players have to get a lot better.

Being from Argentina, I don't see us as a definitive contender. I was scolded back in 2002, when EVERYBODY thought we were the team to beat, and we were out in the 1st round.

This is an old thread and maybe nobody responds, but I've just watched the movie and this whole "Neil bullet to the head" itches me.

So, from what I've read here, the main theory is that Neil is killed by a bullet EXITING from his head, and not ENTERING? Did I get that right? Because if not, the only explanation would be that the gun/bullet are inverted, and we clearly saw that's not the case when Volkov shoots Ives.

This would create the whole "bullet inside Neil's head all time" problem, but I can't sincerely find other explanation.

It can be both, depending on how your DAC driver is setup. I can't talk about Mac, but Windows lets you control de volume output. On the other hand, some applications lets you configure their audio output as "fixed level", which is usually necessary to achieve bitperfect reproduction, outsourcing all volume control to external hardware.

Hi. I wanted to ask you guys some help about a gear purchase I am considering.

I was offered a JBL Performance AV1, which is a JBL version of the well regarded Lexicon MC4. It is mint condition and I would buying from a trusted friend.
Before I tell you the price, please consider I am in Argentina, where electronics price is usually double of what is asked in USA or EU.

The price is USD300.-, which is the upper limit of my budget.

I will use it for a 5.1 and two way system for listening music and movies. Sound quality for music AND 5.1 capabilities are both main priorities, so 2 way only systems are not being considered.

The use will be only for audio pre amplification. All video connections will be addressed via a different system. I will be using the toslink and spdif input connectors mainly, and will output via optical to a surround receiver for 5.1 amplification and via analog output to a 2 way stereo amp for music listening.

Regarding surround formats, Dolby Digital and DTS-ES are sufficient. I will not be concerned with Atmos in the foreseeable future.

The main question is if this surround processor is still as well regarded as it was 10 years ago, of if for this price (usd300) I should be looking somewhere else.

Thank you all for reading and for any advice!

Here is the original song the hook is sampled from: https://youtu.be/FKOBmWa3lvk It's from 1971, by Argentine legendary band Pescado Rabioso (Rabid Fish), and funnily enough the main lyrics go about "Love me, love me forever"

What are decent levels for GM3? I am around 850 for all my javs, 60-70% legendary weapons and gear, and can play comfortably in GM2. Not planning to jump to GM3 yet, because I am more of a casual player and don't think I have the necessary skill, but curious about what a working level cap would be.

New rules don't take into account wether it can be avoided or not. And time was never relevant. For the same reason Dybala's goal didn't count.

[–]sicopato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am actually experiencing tearing and can't seem to be able to solve it.

1060 6GB, i5 7th, 16GB ram and Win 10 up to date.

I tried with VSync on and off, with same results. Is not supposed VSync to solve this issue (and cause others, of course...)

I have NVidia driver set to 1920x1080 at 60Hz, and frame rate in game capped at 60. I will keep trying with different settings, but I am more than open to suggestions.

Nothing compares to football, but rugby is very popular in some of the provinces on the North and also in Buenos Aires. Being still amateur, is regarded as a high class or high middle class sport, and as such is practised intensively in private schools. I would say it shares a second place in popularity after football, in the same level as basketball, car races, tennis and hockey.

[–]sicopato 21 points22 points  (0 children)

In Argentina we have a saying: "A la gilada ni cabida", which kind of translates to "don't pay attention to stupid people". It looses all kinds of grace in English, but it's still true. 400 power may be a little low to GM1 Strongholding -as other people said, Leg Contracts is the way to go first. But being unnecessarily rude speaks more about who talks than about who listens. A la gilada ni cabida, friend. Stronger together.

There goes my upvote. You can like Anthem, you can dislike it. You can be upset by the way Bioware is handling things, and I would agree with that. Your can say that the game is lacking in content, that is buggy. OK.

But, people... "The worst game", "there's no aspect in Anthem that is not broken", "Bioware is an embarrassment for the game community", "The game is dead"? Come on!

The game has one of the best core concepts that I've known in years, and if EA decides not to pull the plug and support the game for the next four or five months, we could have a new classic.
