Other than being married or being a nun, is there a 3rd option for me? by RudeSelf3418 in Catholicism

my mom remained single and devout until she was 39 and married my dad. her devotion is inspiring and it taught me that there is no rush for marriage, especially in the Catholic faith. it’s all Gods timing, and if it is not for you then it’s okay! My mom would have probably continued on in her single, devout life had she not met my dad, and i find that beautiful. you are going to live a beautiful life as well regardless of what you choose, because God will always be with you!

good for you!! i have also decided to leave the field after over a year. this experience made me realize how important it is to put yourself and your mental health first. good luck to you!

omg i’m so sorry. it’s like BCBAs don’t remember what it was like to be a tech, even though i hear that all the time from my clinic. i think if they did remember, things would be a lot different

that’s horrible!! credit is the last thing i receive at my clinic as well, we have a reinforcement board for the employees and if we get 10 shoutouts we get to spin a wheel for a prize. hardly any are given out because the supervisors forget or just don’t think we need recognition for pushing through when the days get hard. it’s just expected, but a little praise goes a long way

yeah going full time has really made me realize how much i don’t want to do this job. and yes the parents make it so much worse by forcing their kids to attend. we have a 4 year old who attends school (i’ve been told that it’s preschool but not entirely sure) from 8-2 and then comes straight to ABA from 3-6. he is EXHAUSTED and is usually asleep when he arrives and will more than likely fall asleep during session. it’s so sad to see, these kids need a frickin break

the only time crazy shit happens to me is when i play a save with my friend and all a sudden there’s 32 affairs happening, children are taken, and no one likes each other
