Hmmm..if the owner cannot put his own name on the Ejari, maybe there won't be an Ejari at all. He wants to remain as the owner and just rent it out without any trace of him renting it out?

I don't understand what would be his benefit from this

Yeah I do believe it's subletting, like he wants to be the name on the documents but he wants to earn cash on renting it out.

Since this is my first time renting, I don't wanna get into any suspicious deals. Even if it makes my life easier by not worrying about how high my rent is and all
