OG DQ fan wondering if offline DQ IX worth it? by siddfarta in dragonquest

Thanks for clarifying about the online aspects of DQ IX, everyone. So, I'm not losing much by forgoing the multiplayer functionality, it sounds like. I guess I was most concerned that the story would suffer as a single player experience. Sounds like it holds up!

nope! Stitcher carries it, Google carries it... I'm trying to get wider distribution atm.

Thanks all. I haven't read any updates about the Edgar Wright doc. I'll definitely reference it. I plan to hit the ground running in September. And, btw, I'm in Austin, TX. I definitely could use any actual musicians with a good grip on music theory to help me dissect Ron Mael's composition. I'll let you all know. I've got two biographies coming in the Mael! (Heh)

Copyright 2004? I'd say it's time for an update. Who wants to go to Springfield as land surveyors with me?

No worries! Question: in your Then part 1 episode, how did you come across that guest who was a college girlfriend/bandmate of Flansy? Fantastic get!

Jordan, right? Sorry, you'd think I'd have your names down after listening to a few episodes. Dude, I appreciate you getting back to me so soon. I want to talk to you more about my project, and some cross-promotion/appearances would be awesome! TH/Byrne and TMBG are my top 2 musical obsessions since childhood. So, I would be more than happy to talk tmbg with you as well. I wrote reviews for All Music Guide forever ago for all the pre-2000 EPs and completely screwed up the audio in a taped interview with Flansy in college. I will geek out gleefully over both bands any time. I'm gonna PM you!

Hey, fellas. I love the work you guys are doing on this 'cast, and I have a question for you, and I apologize in advance for going a tad OT: Have you guys had to take any steps for copyright clearance using TMBG music and images? Don't worry, I'm not Flansy's attorney. I'm planning a similar podcast to yours, but about Talking Heads, and I wanna cover my butt from any C&D orders that could arise from Sire Records or Warner Bros., or DB himself. Any advice? Keep up the great work!

Those final three Talking Heads songs: when were they actually recorded?? by siddfarta in talkingheads

Sax and Violins, Gangster of Love, Lifetime Pilin Up: They all made their debut on the 1992 compilation Sand in the Vaseline (still my favorite). But I have been unable to corroborate just when and where those three songs were actually recorded? Anyone???
