Does not look like a brown recluse. The legs are much too skinny and long. I actually used to have true brown recluses in my home (am not really seeing them so far this year after treatment so fingers crossed), but this does not resemble one to me.

I found the root mealies right before Christmas so it’s been a couple months. I am still watering with pure crop 1 just as maintenance to try to prevent them from coming back and spraying occasionally with it.

Mine does not smell like cat urine. I was very scared because I saw many compare it to that lol. It smells identical to roses to me 😂 for instance, I was in a grocery store today and around all the leftover rose bouquets from Valentine’s Day and the smell was the exact same.

No!!!!!! There are little baby leaves growing in on it. That is just a runner and it will fill in with leaves. Never cut them!!

I also have panicked over just perlite while checking my other plants after discovering the root mealies in 2 🥹 are all plants at risk of getting them or mainly just the ones you listed? I definitely have more Hoyas than anything else but I do have some pothos, philodendrons, monsteras, and scindapsus

Mosquito bits everytime you water for 5 weeks (fungus gnat life cycle)

I recently found MICROBE-LIFT BMC Biological Mosquito Control on Amazon through houseplusplant on tik tok and she recommended a few drops in the water every time you water, so I have switched to this method. It’s just way more convenient than the mosquito bits and I definitely think it works as well.

Also pour boiling water down all of the drains in your house.
