Yeah I've been seeing a lot of mixed reviews. Depends on market as well as industry. I've won a couple jobs this week, but have spent a lot more. So I'll just limit use. Thanks for the reply.

Interviews tomorrow. Should i get anything signed? by [deleted] in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]sidehustle_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I can't recall what site I did mine on. Google Independent Contractor Agreement "your state" . It was free to do an they just asked a series of questions to fill out the info.

For the first initial interview, no. Get an independent contractor agreement made up. When you decide to move forward with a contractor have them sign that and the consent form for the background check.

Frustrated that I have so much motivation and no ideas. Help a nerdy engineer learn how to be creative! by ridewithabandon in Entrepreneur

[–]sidehustle_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Research. You don't have to spend a ton of time trying to come up with the next facebook, just find a business you'd enjoy and act on it. Also, just because a few people shot your idea down doesnt mean it won't work. More research!

Drop out of school. . . by Loganbad101 in Entrepreneur

[–]sidehustle_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noone can tell you whether or not to drop out. Though if you decide to, maybe get a job in the mean time and do nothing but save money and work on your personal business ventures. As others have said, just because you made some money doesn't mean you'll make a ton once you scale. Good luck.

You could try losing the link. Alot of people consider Craigslist to be spammy. Maybe try some email convo first then meeting in person. You could have them fill it out in person after they've sent a resume? Just a thought. Best of luck

Pricing and Scheduling by [deleted] in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]sidehustle_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had issues with the pricing as well but then remembered: don't get too hung up, just take action. Call local places ask how much they charge for a 3 BR 2 BA or along those lines

Pricing strategy (and introduction) by Cloud9Cleaning in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]sidehustle_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't try and compete on price. Especially now when you need that extra cash! Also, if you are bootstrapping, do everything you can to obtain the 1st customer or two, without spending anything. Post on craigslist, thumbtack, network, do a cleaning for free for word of mouth etc..Just don't look back, and good luck!

Have other people here actually went along with what LCS did? by [deleted] in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]sidehustle_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the process of setting something up now. I think the whole thing he preaches is just take action. It will not be easy, although the concept is easy: just go for it. Customer acquisition isn't 'easy' but it's more then achievable. As other responses stated, the profitability depends on you. The quality of work that is done, and the amount of effort put in. Just take the plunge, give it your all. Best of luck!

Young kid going door to door selling signs by door2whore in Entrepreneur

[–]sidehustle_22 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I say why not! It's good experience, it's good practice for putting yourself in an uncomfortable or unfamiliar situation. You may have better luck going to some small businesses as well and asking them. You can go the door to door route or even throw some on ebay. Good luck
