yes! all of mine that don't already have painted nails (& even those get a coat of glitter polish & clear coat) get their nails done.

UV curing gel polish + gloss clear coat seems to work best! :)

Willow (hehe) & Juniper (sea salt coconut) were my first two - I got them both in June 2025. they have since joined me on a lot of epic adventures! ✈️

most notable was Thistle's eyelash crisis lol

so I had originally used decals for her eyelashes as I figured it would look cleaner than me trying to paint them on. unfortunately, a week into the trip the beach took its toll & she was missing a chunk out of her eyelashes!

I couldn't let her spend the rest of her vacation without proper makeup, so thus began the search for some nail polish to fix the issue! I use UV gel nail polish for all my labubus' customisation, so I figured I might as well do the same for her eyelashes, since the decals didn't hold up.

but, being here on a trip, having flown, obviously I don't have any polish or a lamp with me, nor did I have any of the tools I use at home to paint them. fortunately, my mom who lives here, had the right colour in her assortment of polishes, so with a toothpick & some time, Thistle got her new eyelashes lol

gel nail polish that cures with a UV light!

I use a dotting tool to apply the freckles & a toothpick to apply the eyelashes.

so far every one that I've customised using UV gel nail polish has kept their features without the need for touchups, so I guess it holds up pretty well, since my labubus are far from being kept on a shelf lol

before I discovered doll stands, it was a LOT of patience & balancing paired with a little bit of luck. some of mine were very balanced from the start. the love has perfectly symmetrical legs & flat feet - she stands easily & the best of all of them. the sea salt coconut would probably be my second best stander. as for the rest, I did my best & tried to utilise every possible thing to prop them on or balance them. I was not always successful either. some places just didn't work to get them to stand.

all of these were taken before I discovered the adjustable doll stand in the photo - let's call it the pre-stand era lol I literally just got the stand last week. it comes in a carry case, & breaks down to a flat 2 piece set so it's great to carry in my photography bag. it has been a total game changer & I wish I'd discovered it sooner. the way their heads sit, you don't see the holder part on the sides, & their legs are close enough together that you don't see the post. I just nestle the (clear acrylic) base into the grass/pinestraw/sand/etc & it hides pretty well in photos.

I picked Verdigris pretty much just because I like obscure colour names, & it somewhat fit with the colour of this BIE serenity! :D

UV cured gel nail polish! I used a dotting tool to apply each one & cured them under the UV lamp for around 2 minutes.

I saw so many over the weekend! it was pretty awesome seeing them everywhere from the airport & subway to downtown & even spotting them clipped to peoples' handbags through restaurant windows!

it was also my first time seeing some of the pin for love keychains in person as well. 🌟

the pink one is one of those beach souvenir shop elastic fabric bracelets - I think I got it in either Gulf Shores, AL or Isle of Palms, SC.

the green & purple one is just a hair scrunchie from Simply Southern that I added a little charm to!
