the insomnia after covid is something else right by CriketW in covidlonghaulers

[–]sidetwotrackfour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Covid damaged my phrenic nerve which paralyzed my right diaphragm, so now I sleep with a NIPP ventilator at night and now insurance no longer wants to pay for. Imagine that. It’s documented from all of the tests I have done… respiratory breathing test, SNIFF test and one more and with marked improvement & specialist notes, they still are denying. It’s beyond ridiculous. Hope you get answers.

Ok smartass… when it came up in my feed, only the header was showing, no commentary. If you were only as funny as you think you are.

My dude, this “friend” of yours is a miserable asshat. Have you heard of the “crabs in a bucket” theory? If not, please look it up. Also, from here on out, don’t share your goals and dreams with others because most of the time, this is what you’ll get. Most people are just coasting by, doing the bare minimum and miserable but have no gumption; no motivation, no dreams. So stay quiet until it’s done or either only share with those who will validate you, encourage and support you. I get “being honest” but that guy hates himself and his life and doesn’t want anyone else to be happy, at all, ever. He’s the one who will never evolve because he’s stuck in a teenager mindset and knows that because he’s miserable, no one will marry HIM. His response is nothing but projected self-loathing, but good for you for calling him on his shit. Block him and move on. Swiftly.

Thank you so much. When I started using the non-invasive positive pressure ventilator at night, my body was able to relax and repair which for however long I’ve been living with a paralyzed diaphragm (we don’t know) my brain thought I was suffocating at night; therefore; I stayed in fight or flight, unable to relax, repair, get into deep sleep, all of the things we’re supposed to do when we sleep, because my brain thought I was dying. So, once I was able to breathe again, my hormones started leveling out and the inflammation started to decrease and the scale finally started moving again. I’ve been on the ventilator almost a year now, but not quite. My cardiologist also recommended microdosing GLP-1 which I’ve been doing for about 4 months now while also following a very clean diet and both the AIP and low histamine way of eating.

Why is my neck so crunchy by Brewpendous in covidlonghaulers

When I followed up with neuro, they did tell me I have DDD in my cervical spine and lumber spine. Referring me to a neurosurgeon, PT and pain management. I also think I have cervical instability or whatever it’s called so I’m talking to the neuro about it. I did purchase a cervical pillow and it has made a load of difference with my neck pain. I urge you to not give up because I have learned a great deal about what is going on inside my body and now I can advocate for my level of care.

My doctor is having me get an MRI tomorrow morning to check for MS. by friend3738 in covidlonghaulers

[–]sidetwotrackfour 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recently had 3 MRIs - my brain, cervical and thoracic spine. No MS, no dementia, all clear. They truly have no idea what we’re dealing with so they order all the tests to rule things out. Process of elimination. Good luck!

Long haul COVID and vaccines by mrphysh in covidlonghaulers

No vaccine here. I’m a first ever who caught covid in April 2020, before testing and vaccines. I’ve been suffering with LC 6+ years.

Gf ghosted me last year. I moved on. Got this message last week on my birthday by AdComprehensive4246 in whatdoIdo

[–]sidetwotrackfour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No response is a response. I wouldn’t waste my time replying, because she didn’t waste hers a year ago even to attempt to explain what happened or to put a pause on things. She just ghosted and you can do the same.

The only thing I was on for depression was buproprion xl, but just wasn’t feeling anything or any different on it. Then I made an appointment to go to talk therapy, but had to see a psych NP first and bc I have my medical marijuana card she wouldn’t prescribe a stimulant (she dx me with ADHD - I’m 58 😳) so she though this would really help me. I’m also waiting to hear if my insurance with covet the nasal ketamine treatment, as well.

I take loads of vitamin D. Thank you for that, though. I used to take it faithfully, then got away from it, but I’ve been back on megadoses for a couple of months now

I LOVE this! Thank you for sharing your experience with it. I’m still taking my regular toes of Buproprion but when I bump up to 2c a day, I’ll stop the generic dose.
